music for a pleasant background ... music for company while working on the PC ... that's what it conveys to me...
The Prodigy Music For The Jilted Generation

In fact ... the Prodigy are all show! ... but I can't deny that I was interested in them (and also in UNDERWORLD) in the past (blessed youth).

Can't you put a sample to listen to???
This author has always intrigued me... and now I can't contain my curiosity... but I don't know where to start to begin listening to this megagalactic artist, who is, by the way, not very advertised!

Hey LUX, are you going to stop arguing with everyone??? ... alright, you don't like Dream Theater, this album is a piece of crap (and I agree), but now just stop banging your head against the wall ... come on, relax, tomorrow to make you happy I'll call a hacker friend of mine and have him disintegrate the DT website ... then I'll call a friend who lives in New York and ask if his small team can organize to burn down the houses of Portnoy, Petrucci, LaBrie, and Myung one by one .... then they'll take their kids hostage and as a ransom we'll demand the immediate withdrawal of Systematic Chaos from the global market!!! ... in the meantime, another friend of mine is organizing a website where anyone in the world can sign a petition asking Dream Theater not to release any more albums for the next 70 years.
Are you happy now???
Pat Metheny We Live Here
Voto:
Surely one of the albums I liked the least from the Pat Metheny Group ... a bit "aseptic," a sound too electro, "sub-urban" ... but we know our Pat very well by now ... every once in a while he feels the urge to refresh his sound a bit.

Indeed, the little disc feels flat and lacking impact... even though the Dream Theater really put their all into it, judging by the crazy virtuosities worthy of people who don’t put down their instruments even when they go to bed! ... of course, like (almost) everyone, I was expecting much, much more ... but I don't readily accept the criticism of "already heard," "sounds like..." ... as I’ve already said, it’s impossible for a band to wake up every day and propose a new masterpiece in terms of depth and originality ... masterpieces are born once, at most two or three times in a band's discography.
As for the rest, I disagree with your statement that "what they have to say they say poorly"; this work might be a bit too self-indulgent, and they haven’t managed to infuse it with a certain "feeling"... it feels rather dry to me as an album... but fortunately for them, it’s played divinely... I listened to it many times, just to remain somewhat shocked by the technical mastery of these 5, then I put it aside, long before the other DT works... well... I’m sorry to say it... we’ll wait for the next one, otherwise there’s just so much other good music out there... bye.

The Gemelli Diversi have enjoyed great visibility at the national level, while there are talented musicians making "serious" music who go unnoticed! ... this says a lot about the Italian music industry!! ... just think about the winning songs of the San Remo Festival ... Italian music will always have poor visibility and consideration at the international level if something better is not promoted!! ... because there is something better in Italy, isn't there??

I agree with those who said that a truly brilliant band was YES ... oh my! ... I fell in love at first listen and never left them! ... Dream Theater are not YES, but they were Genius!! .. Dream Theater are just good.
Anyway, if we wanted to listen to only genius albums, we would listen to one every 10 - 15 years ... I can't go that long without hearing something new ... we settle for Dream Theater for now, in a month we will have forgotten this album, and we will move on ... until, I hope, that special album arrives that will once again change the course of music history ... (dreamer???)

Music is art, and art can only suggest subjective interpretations (of individuals or groups of people)... therefore, Dream Theater, like Pink Floyd, like Rush, like Tool... and whoever you like, can be appreciated or not for what they do... it’s subjective... some like one thing, others like another... so? ... DE GUSTIBUS... everyone has their own culture, sensitivity, and personal history that allows them to prefer one musical style over another...
Dream Theater are exceptional musicians (they can evoke strong emotions or leave one indifferent, or even be hated), but they are good, and their works are never just a jumble of songs to fill an album... every piece has meaning, an idea, beautiful lyrics (never banal!), and honestly, I prefer them over many bands that pretend to be rock stars without having a solid foundation... just because they're trendy!... at least let Dream Theater receive this recognition!... for the rest, I respect others' tastes, because they are just as valid as mine... the emotions that a band or their songs make us feel are not justifiable, so it’s pointless to climb on mirrors!... Long live music when it’s made with the mind and the heart!
