Francesco de Gregori Viva l'Italia

Perhaps it would be better if I spoke to the good Paolo Sentinelli, who has beautifully described this latest masterpiece, marking De Gregori's shift to South American-inspired sounds that create a pleasant and carefree atmosphere to the rhythm of the songs, with the exception of TERRA E ACQUA, which with its initially labored and then rising rhythm seals this deep and evocative album. The highlights are CAPO D'AFRICA, with a great introduction of bass and synth, STELLA STELLINA on the theme of exploitation, VIVA L'ITALIA, immense and solemn in its musical and metric progression, and GESU' BAMBINO, a secular prayer with paradoxical content... listen to believe!!!

Bravo primiballi!! We need to respond to THAT ASSHOLE POLETTI who is such a worthless being that crap practically comes out of his ears!! SCACCHI E TAROCCHI is a fantastic album like all of De Gregori's: LA STORIA, with its universally resonant spirit, CIAO CIAO, poignant and melodic, A PA', an exceptional reminder of Pasolini's tragic end sealed by the beautiful final quote, SOTTO LE STELLE DEL MESSICO A TRAPANAR and MIRACOLO A VENEZIA true textual and sonic delights, the latter featuring a GREAT "SOLO" on the synth by the good Danilo Madonia!! Poletti FUCK OFF!!!

Bubu7, listen, it's you WHO HURTS ME, not De Gregori who is better than many others who speak OUT OF TURN WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!!! AND TAKE THE BROMIDE YOURSELF!!! I recommend a very strong dose.

For me, dear primiballi, De Gregori's albums are all exceptional, from ALICE NON LO SA of '73 to CALYPSOS of 2006!!!! The only exception is THEORIUS CAMPUS with Venditti, an immature album in which De Gregori doesn't stand out much but he was only 21 years old!! The live albums are nice but not essential... I prefer the live performances of Fabrizio De André!!!

I largely agree with both Primiballi and Hal!! I don’t mean to say that Fossati isn’t good; on the contrary... but at times he gives me the impression of trying too hard to seek more innovative sounds and scores, all accompanied by a very particular voice that I find tiring to listen to. Undoubtedly, he is the songwriter who has had the best positive turnaround in the Italian music scene because he transitioned from mediocre and banal songs (from '71 to '83, with a few exceptions) to a sound and expressive exploration surpassed only by De André (Creuza de ma is exemplary in this regard). However, I still believe that the album ANIME SALVE could have been better if it had been conceived solely by De André, especially because he wanted to do it with a more distinctly South American style in the melodic use, which is only occasionally felt (Princesa and Le acciughe fanno il pallone). In response to Effeno: Fossati's calmness eventually drifts into boredom, which does not benefit the listening experience of his otherwise commendable compositions!!!

Well, the arrangements aren't by Fossati, I checked and I apologize... but Fossati's style permeates the arrangements or vice versa. In any case, the songs on this album could have turned out better; at times they are too homogeneous and exhausting on a musical level. In my opinion, this is due to the fact that De André wrote the songs with Fossati, who since '86 has shifted from rock and low-quality sounds to more refined and cultured tones, which however end up being overwhelming, and this transmits to the songs (like Anime salve, khorakanè, I saw Nina flying). In short, a great album, but the songs suffer too much from the calm and heaviness of Fossati's style (which I find heavy except on a few occasions).

And what is your swan song ENEATHEDEVIL? When will it be? But why don’t you go AFFANCULO???? After "La donna cannone," De Gregori has created "La storia," "Pà," "Il canto delle sirene," "Pilota di guerra," "Pane e castagne," "Mimi sarà," "Miramare," "Cose," "Sangue su sangue," "Tutto più chiaro che qui," "Compagni di viaggio," "Jazz," "Baci da Pompei," "Natale di seconda mano," "Il cuoco di Salò," all the way to "cardiologia" from the latest album, just to mention ONLY some of the MASTERPIECES OF WHAT YOU SAY HAS ENDED with "La donna cannone!!!" Shame on you for what you say. You are a great ignoramus in musical matters and you would be better off NOT COMMENTING ANYMORE on De Gregori to avoid making a fool of yourself!!! You and the others like you... ANNATEVE A FA NA PERAAA!!!

I laugh at funny things, not at BULLSHIT LIKE THIS THAT SMEARS THE LEGENDARY RIMMEL AND THE LEGENDARY FRANCESCO DE GREGORI. Bubi, think about what you say before shooting bullshit about artists of this caliber.
