Yes, Fidia, I have all the originals (on CD)... the only burned CD I own is "Nature Unveiled" by Current, which is practically unavailable (and that’s why I haven’t reviewed it)... I know, today it may seem like an enormous waste of money, even pointless, considering that a collection of CDs doesn’t have the same charm as a collection of vinyl... and maybe one day I’ll get tired of it (it’s not like I’m swimming in gold, and lately I’ve been very limited in my purchases, and in fact, if you notice, I don’t review much current stuff), but for now I still enjoy going into a store and choosing, listening, consulting, or the thrill of acquiring some hard-to-find work... it’s indeed at used fairs that I really go wild... andrewramone: no, I don’t know Evoken either, also because the gothic medieval style like Arcana isn’t among my favorite genres. The same goes for Dark Sanctuary... I generally prefer dark ambient and industrial, but I’ll keep these two projects in mind for future purchases...

but you are much more of a reviewer than I am...you're, how can I put it, more "objective", you have an inherent rigor that protects you from rambling and helps you better focus on the work being reviewed...your reviews are more technical and professional, and you certainly know well the subjects you discuss, you are extremely up-to-date and I can totally see you on a specialized site...I have to say, I was greatly surprised when I read your review of the vision black and thought "damn, I will never write such a beautiful review", and then see in the posts that you were citing me...in reality, I don’t write reviews but rather impressions, I write about old stuff that potentially interests a few, I am definitely much more partial and subjective, and often I like to let my imagination run wild or add entirely debatable reflections...in short, you are more professional...I am better suited for debaser, a more free and less pretentious context...

Ah, I get it, brain drain from Debaser... just when they made the dark cow? I remain loyal, after all I like this site, there's a bit of everything... and besides, no one is going to read me, someone might even get angry, but at least I can write whatever I want, without content restrictions and limits on length or any editorial lines... by the way, how does your love story begin?

Yes, maybe this time I've gone overboard; I need to break the vicious cycle of track by track... but I can't help it... lovelorn, why aren't you writing reviews anymore? Why don’t you write something about Sieben and Unto Ashes... I haven't read much good about the latter; try to help me understand better what it's all about...
Green Day American Idiot

what sadness, we even come to reevaluate green day? first, if there’s utter crap like blink, it doesn’t mean that plain crap stops being crap. maybe punk has always been fake, probably music will never change the world, and surely green day has some merit in the world of pop, but what bothers me the most is, after years and years of crap being slowly injected into our brains, the distorted perception we have of things... and so today green day is thought of as a political band (which smells a lot like a marketing operation, given that a certain entertainment punk had exhausted its appeal) and over time, I think of future generations, we will come to say that eminem was tough and sang it right, and that marilyn manson was the devil's child... it seems like a worrying drift, and especially those who are young (who can still afford it) should reeducate themselves to the extreme, with napalm death for example, so they can also give 5 stars to green day, but placing them under the pop category. And if one really wants to make a serious analysis, explain that it’s entertainment music, NOT political, and PRO system: yes, because it doesn’t bring a serious analysis of society and the world, but only a load of clichés that divert attention from real problems and especially hinder the development of critical thinking, since it’s much easier to recite slogans and then in daily conduct continue to support the establishment as if nothing happened. they have won.

It's a fundamental album for Tiamat and for the entire genre; in some ways, it was ahead of its time (in the extreme sense) for the massive use of keyboards and clean vocals... I too look at it with affection, but a 5 is excessive... the album, although fresh at the time, has definitely aged poorly and now sounds at times grotesque and childish... especially since it was literally pulverized by its successor... I rarely listen to it today... good review but misleading for someone approaching the band for the first time, the album has evident limitations, it is not a masterpiece...

PRECURSING time, I wanted to say... anyway, for the record, drone music originated in the 60s within a certain avant-garde/electronic scene, including the stationary music of La Monte Young, an American composer. Earth, consciously or not (in my opinion, their music was developed in solitude), have transposed everything into the rock realm. The term drone is borrowed from robotics and refers to a robot with limited decision-making capabilities (much like those who listen to Sunn O)))... specifically, a drone is also a type of unmanned aircraft, and that's where the genre gets its name, meaning notes that float randomly in the air...

I've never heard of this, I've always feared it because it's a collection of demos... but if good Tepes recommends it, we'll make sure to track it down somewhere... why do we drone? That’s a million-dollar question... I ask myself that, just as I think many others do... the funny thing is that everyone is ready to acknowledge Malley and Anderson as two ridiculous fools, yet everyone’s there droning away... the oddities of life... personally speaking, I think I've got the timing in my inner journey, because back when I was a shitty bassist and didn’t know how to play for shit, and I had nothing to do, I spent my afternoons in my room droning until I blew out the amplifier and stopped playing the bass...

Well done, I like how you write. Despite the track by track format, you manage to make the reading interesting by compensating with a rich vocabulary (and I must say it’s not easy to write about metal without boring the reader). Welcome! (But next time, try to review something new...)

OleEinar, I usually recommend but what ends when the symbols shatter?, totally folk and free from war nonsense... if you, however, don't fear industrial and electronic, and some martial suggestions, you could try with Nada!... these are my two favorites equally, however, there is also a good compilation, Discriminate!, which gathers all the best up to 95, if I recall correctly, and can serve as an excellent overview (and it saves you from the downward phase of the artistic parabola of DIJ). Historiography, however, suggests that the album to have is Brown Book, but as a first step, I would advise against it; I still find it too rough and immature...
