I really enjoyed the review! It was a lot of fun! What a shame I couldn't be there... to hell with the 70 minutes and everything else, I'm sure I would have had a blast... oh well... next time!

The beginning is indeed very similar, but McCready has never hidden where he drew inspiration for that song! And live, GTF really rocks everything! And what about MFC (i.e., "many fast car" or "mini fast car") that Vedder composed while stuck in traffic in Rome? :)

how little enthusiasm for an album you liked! you spend more time almost justifying your love for them, as if you were afraid of the judgment of those who consider them just "copycats"! for me, they were a good band and reached their peak with "purple"... I feel the absence of "still remains" in the tracklist, which I really like! be good

The title of the CD is YIELD, not YELD... and then it’s spelled "tracce" and not "traccIe"... and the title of the second song is FAITHFULL and not "faithful"... it’s a deliberate play on words... and expect a comment from mrcmat since you used the word "grunge"! :) wonderful album, pretty bad review. I confirm as well: it’s a great CD! The final part of Rocket Brothers is ALMOST IDENTICAL to the end of Let Down by Radiohead! Listen to believe!

See marcmat, the point is this: last Saturday I bought the Pearl Jam DVD, Lost Dogs, the best of REM, and Thirteenth Step by A Perfect Circle. Total rounded off: 100 EUROS... anyone who knows me even a little KNOWS how much I like this band (have you ever seen my reviewer profile? the photo?), so it’s OBVIOUS that I would be impartial in reviewing this album, because for me it’s a GREAT ALBUM. I simply put myself in the shoes of the "housewife from Voghiera," or the student who can't afford to buy all the CDs they recommend: to them, and to those who don’t know this great band, I implicitly suggested (thanks to the other review) to buy the LIVE album, especially because, in an age where studio technology works wonders, it's common to see bands that sound good on CD but are terrible live... and Pearl Jam certainly don’t fall into that category; on the contrary... The gems on this album are there (Yellow Ledbetter above all), but I would rather recommend to someone to see Yellow Ledbetter at the end of a concert, with all the lights on and the fatigue mixed with happiness on everyone's faces, rather than listening to a "Sweet Lew" that, as nice as it is, leaves me little to nothing... finally, grunge chapter: I hate this definition, I only used it to convey the idea of a song that "sounds different" from the latest productions, even the latest more "tightened"... be good!

perfect dopey, thank you! and now I'm casting my vote as a "commentator": earlier I tried not to be too biased, putting myself in the shoes of someone who doesn't know them as well as I do, but now... I can't help but give this album a 5! :)

I ask for forgiveness, I just realized that there was already a review of this album...well...that one is critical, this one isn't...de gustibus! be good! :)

The album is great, the review a bit less so: it is indeed a bit heavy, especially at the beginning... but no worries! be good!
