David Gilmour On An Island
Voto:
On Christmas Day, I usually take a holiday. Am I missing out on something so grand? Anyway, apart from that, it's a flat and monotonous record; Gilmour always plays well but he should learn a bit from Cesare Pavese: "Lavorare stanca." And he, from working so hard, honestly, has become a bit tired.

Well, the mitigating factor might be that it’s a debut, but I haven’t really heard all this great music you’re talking about; nice tracks and nothing more, not even anything innovative. Albums with a different depth, like "17 Re" or "Terremoto" (my favorite), are truly historical (and innovative).
Frank Zappa Studio Tan

Beautiful and knowledgeable review. A record I have never even heard mentioned, but these Debaserian gaps regarding the impressive figure of Frank Zappa can only be pleasing.
Elisa feat. Ligabue Gli Ostacoli Del Cuore
Voto:
I really liked Ligabue's first two works, but after that, I turned my back on him for the banalities sung and played. I know very little about Elisa, but what I’ve heard has left me indifferent. It's a song I’ve never listened to, but I don’t think it will drive me crazy. Anyway, I’ll try to listen to it.
Max Pezzali / 883 Tutto Max: Greatest hits

Well, discovering Fiorello hasn't been such a bad thing, maybe not from a musical standpoint, but still, it’s not all that tragic. The others don't even deserve a comment.

A disc that should be used as a tool for throwing the frisbee.
Francesco Guccini Stanze Di Vita Quotidiana
Voto:
Know-it-all, I remembered it live, I was wrong, oh well, it's not the end of the world. Ajeje, "Radici" musically is much much less monotonous than this, and the lyrics are more direct and understandable.

Ajejebrazof, by depressing I mean Italian left-wing singer-songwriter, and I specify Italian, not English, American or whatever you want, but Italian. Second: for me this is a heavy, boring album that will also touch on high themes but in a pretentious and pompous way (do you know the meaning of the words? Good, then you'll understand what I mean by pompous). Third, I knew nothing about the aforementioned clarifying meeting, but just mentioning a music critic in such a loudmouthed way is not a great act of acceptance of others’ opinions, and that they may have clarified things is another matter. Fourth, "Canzone per Piero" may have been chosen for the high school exams, but not everything that goes to maturity is beautiful and perfect; on that theme, as I've already said in the review, "Michel" by Claudio Lolli deserves much more consideration. Fifth, the album itself gives me the impression of something depressing and heavy, it may just be my impression, but I don't write reviews thinking about what others might say, but about what I feel. Sixth, no one ever said that Bertoncelli is a Bible. If there are blunders, they are personal blunders, based on the impressions I received listening to the album.
AA.VV. Platoon (Soundtrack)
Voto:
So, Surferkangaroo, someone who says "Platoon" is beautiful should brush up on the classics of cinema before talking. Anyway, let me explain my thoughts better. If we were in school, I would give "Platoon" a 7, because it is indeed a raw and truthful film, but it's also full of rhetoric that flows like a river (as in all of Stone's films). It’s well-acted, but especially towards the end, it gets caught up in emphasis and becomes convoluted. Thus, it's a film about Vietnam, above average but not a masterpiece. "Apocalypse Now," to which a 10 is mandatory, is also a film about the Vietnam War, but it does so not in a poetic manner as you say (the poetry is in Kubrick at best), but by blending the narrative with echoes of Conrad and Dante's Hell. Without ever conceding a minute or yielding to the logic of spectacle (as happens sometimes in "Platoon"). And anyway, "Platoon" has never been, nor will it ever be, on the list of the best films of the century, so it cannot be defined as "beautiful," because beautiful things are other things, which perhaps do not speak of Vietnam and have other meanings.
Jovanotti Una Tribù Che Balla
Voto:
I would like to understand where you see all these excellent songs. To me, it seems like one of Jovanotti's most useless and empty works, with the annoying catchphrase "Muoviti muoviti."
