AA.VV. Philadelphia (Soundtrack)
Voto:
Stunning film, the best performance by Tom Hanks (nothing compared to the overrated Forrest Gump), and a soundtrack that I remember with immense pleasure. Springsteen, as usual, doesn’t miss a beat, one of the great protagonists of rock in the last thirty years of history (but everyone can think as they wish, that’s how it is).
Finley Tutto E' Possibile
Voto:
The Finleys are better off ignored, just as it’s better to overlook the question: "but are they punk or not?". The answer is, they’re a bunch of frauds. End of story.
The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet
Voto:
One of the immortal masterpieces of rock, as well as the highest point reached by the Stones in 40 years of career. Unmatched.
Korn All Mixed Up (EP)
Voto:
The first two albums by Korn are masterpieces not only of nu-metal but of music in general. Then I lost track of them; by the way, are they still playing?
Elisa Soundtrack '96-'06
Voto:
Well, between Elisa, Giorgia, and Pausini, it's hard to say who's the worst; maybe Elisa is just a tad above the others, but come on, what a sadness.
Iron Maiden Best Of The Beast
Voto:
Pure lexical delirium.
Beatles Revolver
Voto:
Not even Scaruffi would have dared that much. But now on DeBaser it's a trend to slam the Beatles, I mean, only on DeBaser. Good for you.
Lùnapop Squèrez?
Voto:
Well, they don't deserve any attention.
Radiohead Hail To The Thief
Voto:
Dearest Blackdog, I would have liked to give you a 4, because the review is well done, but after the nonsense you wrote in the previous post about Bertoncelli (a Bible, in my opinion), I'm giving you a flat 1 because some bullshit would be better kept to oneself. The album is nice, but the Radiohead have honestly done much better.
Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991
Voto:
I’m glad to see that these war relics from the early seventies are still around humming (or rather, they were, since we’re talking about 1991). I don’t mean to downplay their historical importance, but it’s a bit like seeing King Crimson live; it’s a little frightening, always giving off the impression of something mummified that surfaces from the sarcophagus just to say, "I’m here too."
