"Best of the beast" to fill the time for the new album, the Maiden release a collection that serves for their entire career; the album comes out in a regular version as well as dvd+cd.
To avoid making the album superfluous to the old faithful, the compilation contains some gems: two old tracks from the 'soundhouse tapes', a poorly sung version of afraid to shoot by Blaze Bayley, and a new song, virus, a track with progressive atmospheres that recalls some aspects of 'seventh son of a seventh son' and is much better than the songs on "x-factor", leaving high hopes for the future.
"virus" is also released as a single, with the addition of two classic tracks: sanctuary and wrathchild in the historic version from the classic compilation "metal for muthas". There's nothing to say, Iron Maiden are the greatest heavy metal band of all time. High-tech guitar riffs, high vocal solos, and Iron Maiden's melodies are wonderful, yet it takes nothing away from Iron Maiden in terms of technique, refinement, melody.
Iron Maiden confirm themselves as the best heavy metal group of all time and even today they have not been scratched and remain barely commercialized. A name a guarantee: Iron Maiden.
