Hi Trooper, I must say that I really appreciate the fact that you review festivals, but how do you manage to be everywhere? For example, I can barely make it to one concert a year. This might not have interested me much, but I truly regret missing the Heineken Jammin Festival: if I had known there would be a riot, I would have gone to the metal day; just the Maiden and Slayer would have been enough for me, but unfortunately, predicting the future is impossible...sigh!

"If you're still listening to that crap like hip hop, throw away all the records you have and buy this fabulous album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers with their masterpieces like 'Give It Away,' 'Suck My Kiss,' 'Under the Bridge,' 'Fortune Faded'... Trust me: even if you spend money. Then with the fabulous bassist Jack Frusciante... AND HIS AMAZING VOICE..."
Well, point 1: The Red Hot Chili Peppers are not completely foreign to rap, given that Anthony Kiedis approached singing with hip hop.
Point 2: It's not Jack Frusciante, but John... and he doesn't play bass, but guitar.
Point 3: The amazing voice of the singer is only something you hear, since he can't sing live.
Point 4: You are a fake.
Point 5: You did really well to stay anonymous.

Personally, I have always hated MTV initiatives, like the MTV day or this Coca Cola live. I definitely wouldn't have gone, because frankly, I don't get nu metal: it seems to me that bands like Korn haven't really invented anything all that new, and up to this point, there's nothing wrong with that. The problem arises when bands like Linkin Park throw in various DJs, and everything goes from metal to a somewhat shouted pop rock. Good reception.

Birbabirba, you’ve broken my balls; just because you don’t like the genre, you go and give a 1 to the reviewer. If you give it to the album, I can understand (even though someone who listens to blues probably can’t be objective about hard rock), but evaluate the review objectively. I still believe you don’t know shit about real music; all it takes is for you to say that Sole di Settembre is punk.

Nice review, but I don’t completely agree with it. Sure, if they hadn't come out, rock would be different, but personally, I'm not so convinced that if they were to emerge now, they'd be appreciated that much amid pop, commercial stuff, or rap. In fact, Wolfmother didn’t really make a big splash; their success isn’t exaggerated. I also believe that there aren’t that many people looking for good music; otherwise, they wouldn’t be releasing so much crap... Overall, it’s a 4 because the review is heartfelt and well-written.

Well done The Trooper, great review. What can I say? When I saw the lineup, I thought: "Aerosmith, Slayer, Iron Maiden, and every other great band, it's hard to choose who to see!" To buy my ticket, I did odd jobs for two weeks. I took the train with friends to see Aerosmith... On the train (us loaded with backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags) there's a guy listening to the radio, and while we’re chatting, one of my friends signals us to be quiet, and we catch the news just in time. As soon as we arrive (we didn't think it would be that serious), we find only terrified people, and a little later we learn the truth. What bad luck! Thank goodness they refunded our money, but the bitterness is overwhelming.
Max Pezzali Time Out

Cornell, look: you are perfectly right, people like Zero Assoluto and/or Finley, Velvet, or Le Mani, and the list could go on indefinitely, are just commercial acts that, in my opinion, last a couple of years and then when they have money, they will drop everything. But you can't say the same about Max, because he's been singing for a long time, he's not that good, he's not a legend, but compared to others, he stands out. I repeat that the real commercial acts are those I mentioned above. All of this is naturally subjective. Regards.

In my opinion, Steven Tyler is currently the best rock singer in terms of vocal ability. He is definitely a symbol, because like Lemmy Kilminster, despite being in his 60s, he still manages to maintain very good performance levels. Many others struggle: just look at Brian Johnson, who strains on many high notes during the live show in Munich, or Roger Daltrey in Verona. Anyway, I think those who were great in the past and (even at such an advanced age) continue to produce material today truly deserve admiration and respect for their efforts for the fans (and not just for them).

Hello Cornell, are you talking to me?

Hello ghemison, first of all, I didn't say that Max's lyrics are deep, because that's not true. I simply said that, in my opinion, they talk about love, but of course from the naive perspective of a teenager, and that’s why I like them. Honestly, I’ve never been interested in Italian music and I know vaguely what’s currently being played, including Pezzali; I know a bit more about him because many of my non-rock friends have made him an idol. As for songwriters like De Andrè, it's certain that they will remain in history.
