Carmen Consoli Mediamente Isterica

It's not that they think they're important; it's that they are! At least in the case of Consoli: like it or not, she has changed the face of female singer-songwriters (but perhaps not only) in Italy. Before her, there were mainly interpreters, and very little female rock (if we exclude Nannini and Bertè). I’ll give some examples that prove Carmen's influence: Marina Rei, with her album 'Inaspettatamente,' comes out of 'Primavera,' changes genre, and starts imitating Consoli quite a bit. Paola Turci used to sing solo songs like 'La Felicità,' and after Carmen’s influence, she released 'Questa Parte di Mondo.' These are undeniable changes in characters that probably didn't carry much artistic weight, but they testify to the undeniable impact our singer has had in Italy...

spleen, it wasn't my intention toact all high and mighty... I’ve never spoken with Carmen, and I apologize if it seemed like I wanted to lecture! Regarding the quotes: I believe I know them, yes... but yours are grammatical errors, and the issue of quotes is barely relevant! If the lack of punctuation is intentional, then explain it, because frankly I don't understand what value it could hold... That said: don't take it personally if I criticized you, I fully share the passion for Carmen, but I don't agree with the contents of the review (the world is beautiful because it is varied, they say).

The hypocrisy of ellipses? Do you mean the punctuation marks, Tom Traubert? I don't find them opportunistic at all, but rather useful, indeed essential, for conveying the idea one wants to communicate. If conventions didn’t exist in the world, no one would be able to communicate. A large part of the chaos out there is due to the lack of respect for rules and conventions! I mean: personally, I can only appreciate Spleen's enthusiasm for the music he loves, but unfortunately, a review like this fails to convey it in the right way...

"'besame giuda' (not besame mucho) has nothing to do with Patti (not Patty) Smith... in 'sentivo l'odore' it talks about what one would do in the heat of the moment to someone who betrays (otherwise they wouldn’t be ashamed of it coldly, don’t you think?)... '14 luglio' speaks of the mother, luckily surpassing categories like age and sex! 'Carmen in this album is furious and the album radiates this wickedness which indeed the title evokes the hormonal imbalances of a woman' means nothing in Italian... just like 'who hasn’t realized that finally, after so many outbursts and beatings that "life eventually settles its debts and strikes unexpectedly" even others'... in short, the album is a 5, there’s no doubt about that, but the review definitely no! (don’t take it personally, but a fan of Carmen can only want to achieve the best from the Italian language)"

I correct myself because it was not clear at all: the correct phrase was - without Borland this band was at Spice Girls level - there, now it makes sense :-)

the answer is no... you can't talk about metal for the bizkits! but how did that come to your mind? (anyway, thank goodness wes "really metal" borland is back, because without this band it was at spice girls level...)

I won't comment on the choice and the criticism given to the album... but my goodness, I will definitely comment on Italian!!! I'll change your vote if you tell me you're 12, John, because frankly, even middle schoolers don't write like that!

pota amalteo as you say music is highly subjective :-) and for me, like Janis, there will be no one else… but the version of ā€œI put a spell on youā€ by Nina Simone is the most beautiful I have ever heard…
