Rickie Lee Jones Pirates

Beautiful are the reflections and memories about vinyl, which I've been seeing more and more in record stores lately. For many, it's not a memory but still a reality, and honestly, I’m pleased to see it re-emerge in the era of the iPod. The image of this artist is also striking, although I've listened to little of their work, starting with their latest releases. Perhaps it's better to follow a different order.

Thank you debasers for reading. I'll add one thing about this singer that completes the picture a bit. I don't know if anyone has seen the film (much debated at the time) Frida dedicated to the life of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, well the soundtrack of the film was partly by Lila Downs. For the curious, I’ve included some samples from the album. Bye :)

The review captures the essence of this music well, but I've listened to it so much that now I can’t hear it without feeling a slight annoyance. That said, I don’t share Jam’s opinion, which highlights a certain repetitiveness from Enya.

I’m not totally convinced, but I might be remembering it wrong; I guess I’ll have to listen to it again in light of your words, which—between us—I don’t mind at all :)

Well... to be honest, I've always found this debate about album ratings a bit tiresome. "But if you give this album a 5, what do you give that other one?", "Come on, a 5 might be a bit too much...". I've always thought that on its own, the rating doesn't mean a thing; it should be read alongside the review. In any case, this one seems driven by genuine passion, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges (like George Martin, for example), but after all, the first review is a trial by fire. Welcome, Lucio, nice nickname!
