Ludovico Einaudi I Giorni

When I saw the review I was sure that Kurz would not miss the chance to highlight the banality of Einaudi :) and perhaps he’s not entirely wrong, but I do find myself listening to this album from time to time and I prefer it to Eden Roc and the concert at La Scala (an album that is essentially and "doubly" superfluous). As for minimalism, besides Nyman, I believe we cannot forget Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass, who in my opinion are the leading figures of the movement. To a lesser extent (much lesser) the Belgian Mertens. I don’t see much affinity between them and Einaudi's music (perhaps only with Mertens). He may have been influenced by the current – or one of the currents – of minimalism, but he has likely distanced himself from it. Others have done the same, confirming the suspicion that repetitive music today is a musical language that is, for the most part, exhausted, whose highest expressions are still "In C" and "Music in 20 parts."

On Saturday I listened to it and then decided to take it. Honestly, after reading the review, I expected to hear complete trash, but it didn't leave such a negative impression on me, and I don't know if it's right to speak of fatigue. However, I still haven't formed a precise opinion; all things considered, it seems too early for a definitive judgment. In my opinion, it takes a bit of time.

So, paraphrasing Allen, God is dead, Marx is dead, Italian alternative rock is dead, and I don't feel too well either. I trust and gladly pass the baton. P.S. the cover is a mess.

Welcome, perhaps this is the only way I can afford to listen to this music. I find it a curious and interesting idea.

I don't know him, but for me "emoh" isn't bad. I was listening to it last week; it may not be a masterpiece or extremely original, but it seemed to me like a well-made, sincere album. What's wrong with that?

I hope to swing by your place, Clare Quilty, so between a tequila and another we can have a couple of rounds of ping pong :) then we'll hop on a cucaracha, pick up Zion, Cleo, Kurz, Kappa, Nashira, Humax, and everyone else, and go rewatch the movie Frida :)) okay? Dear Nick Cass McCombs, I haven't heard from you, and this "Hal" is new to me, but I have too much to listen to right now, so I've decided to tackle the backlog calmly before anything else. Regards to everyone :)
