I know that a remastered version with bonus tracks has been released, just to add something to an already very beautiful album.

I have listened to both L'Absence and Strong Currents, the latter released by materiali sonori with a truly substantial and interesting "booklet." His productions are always of high quality; perhaps I was a bit disappointed only by Lights in the Dark. He is undoubtedly a great musician, a musical researcher who loves to constantly explore. The review finds me in agreement. Well... almost a masterpiece, but only to be picky and hard to please. Hello :)

Paolo Fresu/Gianfranco Cabiddu Sonos 'e Memoria - Carbonia 21-08-2005 - Rassegna Estiamoinsieme

A captivating show, a complex project, a union of artists and ideas. Sonos 'e memoria is one of the most interesting productions on the island in recent years. There is a documentary by Cabiddu that tells the genesis of this project, which combines live music with the montage of images from an island that no longer exists, retrieved from the archives of the Istituto Luce. The documentary is splendid to me and conveys the essence of what this show can be; it also narrates the lives of the musicians. The part dedicated to Luigi Lai as he constructs his launeddas is wonderful. At the link, those who want can find information about the film: link rotto

I saw some images on TV of this show that must have been really exciting as you say. From what I’ve read and heard, it was an original union of music, dance, and visual arts. More than just a concert, then. I also read somewhere some statements from the organizers. They mentioned that the show—despite the involvement of so many artists—cost very little. Kudos to their foresight and persistence in proposing events of this level over the years.

I haven't heard this one yet; it will come. In the meantime, I've come across other albums, and I really enjoyed the one with the mule adorned on the cover and "Live At Roseland Ballroom." People playing great with technique and energy.

He he ... in fact, I wanted to say that the liner notes are my only reason for doubt regarding the album ;)) I also know Eberhard Weber too little, although ECM has been a reference for me for a long time; I’ve heard something from Porcupine Tree, but it was peripheral, and the latest from Robert Plant hasn’t crossed my path, and I doubt I’ll get a chance to hear it. gudbai :)
Ivano Fossati Lindbergh (Lettere da sopra la pioggia)

A beautiful record perfectly described, as always. Among other things, one of my favorite songs by Fossati is definitely "mio fratello che guardi il mondo." I would instead make a special mention of "Il disertore" by Boris Vian, poet, musician, and playwright. Translated first by Tenco, for me "Il disertore" is more than just a song (by the way, it should be a song, not just a poem); it is an anthem of non-violence that still has incredible power today. At Fossati's concerts, he sometimes performs it with no musical accompaniment, and that "io armi non ne ho" at the end is truly a slap in the face.
