Yes, you’re right symbad, I really like this album, that four as Jim asks for is almost a five but we know these are just nuances. Instead, to give you an idea Wanderer, I’ve included some samples, including the stunning version of Paint it black which alone is worth the album. Lello, if you then get into the search with positive results let me know if you liked it, ok? Bye and have a nice Sunday :)

It's an impression that I've sometimes had as well, but not with this splendid album which I also believe is one of the most beautiful among his recent productions and in Italian singer-songwriter music.

@odradek - indeed, I didn't say that :) here's the addition: I heard a track on the radio a few weeks ago and I liked the atmosphere, it felt like an album for me; then came the reckless purchase. To be clear, the album isn't bad, but it doesn't hold up under repeated listens, losing a little something each time and that's a bit disappointing. Sometimes you think that, with all the great music out there, keeping up with these albums eats up time that could be spent differently. And time is so precious... || @Vì - well, as always, it's a reading that, whether positive or negative, remains very personal without expecting anything else, maybe you or others could enjoy it a lot, it depends on your way of experiencing music; if anything, try to listen to something on his official website, I think there are some mp3s || @Lewis Tollani: same as above, more than a discouragement to purchase it's an invitation to comparison, lest these four rushed words prevent you from listening to Paul Armfield ;) ; || @sfasciacarrozze: it's true, I usually prefer to talk about albums I like, but sometimes I've also happened to discuss some disappointments here. This is one among many that exist, but it's normal that among the many albums that come our way, some might not appeal to us; sometimes it can be talked about :) anyway, to compensate, I sent another review of an album I really liked, it will arrive :) || @trellheim: come on, I wasn't being harsh :))) let's consider the score at least a 2.5; let's not be stingy; || @kurz: I appreciate it a lot and I know you understand the initial question well :) (any reference to Jean Michel Jarre is not purely coincidental). Bye :))

I really don’t know what to write, John... I write and erase... I write and erase... I don’t even know if it makes sense to talk about this wonderful work, to question its authorship and so on, there’s something more here, it goes beyond. Too many words to consider... "if really each of us was enough for himself, if he was happy with him or her just as they are, there wouldn’t be a need to pray"... I don’t even know if it makes sense to rate a record or anything else... the rating expresses a judgment but at the same time it’s a game, while here there are no themes to play with, nor are there any that can be evaluated, here there are important thoughts, the kind that make your wrists tremble... "you have to live this life, thinking about it is useless"... after all, some think we have to live it because we have nothing else... and here I risk philosophizing to hide a fear... I’ll stop, leaving my vote nonetheless different – very different – from other votes left in here...

mmmm .... interesting both the proposal and the review, particularly the introduction that raises important questions even though it's not easy to provide answers, as I'm not entirely convinced that "a little encouragement" is enough, although I don't deny that it can be helpful. On the other hand, a general "shut up" these days might not be either an answer or a solution. Personally, I prefer a "feeling," carefully selecting what to listen to.

The cover reminds me of something, maybe it was suggested to me but I don't remember having listened to it... I'll go back on my steps. Bye
