Antonello Grimaldi Caos Calmo

A few days ago, I saw this film. Immediately after the screening, the audience had the chance to talk directly with the director (Grimaldi), the producer (Procacci), and the lead actor as well as screenwriter (Moretti), in a "no, not the debate, no" scenario. Interesting experience. I must say that I didn't dislike the film. It seemed to me a good adaptation of Veronesi's book. Of course, much was simplified (fewer plot twists, fewer digressions, fewer themes), but perhaps it was necessary for the cinematic adaptation, which always imposes tough choices. The real major difference from the book, in my opinion, lies in the presence of lighter moments that lighten the drama, which does not allow for a deep investigation into its reasons and whys. Conversely, the theme of "stopping" has been emphasized. For the rest, Paladini was already close to Moretti in the writing phase; this didn’t disturb me, except for a few scenes that felt too 'Morettian.' Grimaldi crafted a sober direction that I believe was, overall, appropriate for the story, except for the initial scene, which was truly too weak and lacked rhythm when it came to a key moment in the plot. He did well to create cinematic rhythm in moments when it was challenging, such as in the scenes shot in the school square. I have always detested Valeria Golino, but this time she didn’t annoy me. Gassman and Ferrari did their part. In short, three stars, but no more for me. Haloa

A beautiful woman... a few months ago I was fortunate enough to attend one of her concerts; she looked very tired and worn out, the concert didn’t last long, but she managed to win over the audience with her charm. It's a pity she didn't perform Weill, I was really hoping for that.

one of Mehldau's best recordings, always excellent choices for contemplation (any reference to the Coltrane review is not purely coincidental)

I heard it very quickly and set it aside; I'll appreciate it over time, as often happens to me with records like this. The discussion about double bassists was tasty, although I have little faith in the validity of rankings... I adore Haden, but I can't see him at the top of a chart; perhaps I stubbornly think in a horizontal way... I don’t know... I'm looking for Was Da Ist, muchas gratias.

perfect autumn album. I listened to this album when it was released, a few months ago now, then I put it aside, it wasn't the right time. These days I've listened to it again and louise has become the soundtrack of these hours. Well done blackdog, synthesis, effectiveness, precise references, and a proposal presented at the right moment.

You know something, psycho? I came across these guys you're talking about while hopping from blog to blog, following some "logical-geographical" paths that would take too long (and be pointless) to explain... I listened to a little bit superficially and now I don't remember anything. Consumed and digested, do I need to taste it again? Seems like it... adiosu
