Jan Garbarek In Praise Of Dreams

I haven't been able to tear myself away from listening to the track that gives the CD its title for a few days now. It's an enchanting dialogue between the viola and the saxophone, accompanied by the heartbeat. This listening experience has deeply moved me, even though jazz isn't my preferred genre.

..sorry...I forgot to vote. I'm doing it now, also correcting "Armenian" to "Armenian!"...because I see there are many purists......

Great Enzo Avitabile! I have witnessed his show Sacro Sud multiple times with different international artist collaborations. Once with Baba Sissoko, an artist from Mali who enchanted us with his numerous instruments and extraordinary vitality, and another time with Djivan Gasparyan, the great master of the duduk, another wonderful instrument from the Armenian tradition that warmed our hearts on a cold winter day.
Goran Bregovic And His Weddings & Funerals Band Live @ Estate Al Colle - Arona 30.07.2006

I was also lucky enough to attend a concert by the great Goran Bregovic, dressed in white, with a fascinating and sensual gesture and a smile that.... I enjoyed it so much, as well as his entire band of musicians, especially the young percussionist and singer whom I initially thought was Bregovic's son. I hope to hear him again the day after tomorrow in Caserta.
Giovanni Sollima Works

amazing musician, the kind that once heard, you never forget. I literally wore out orks, unfortunately, the other CDs are almost impossible to find, at least I haven’t managed to locate them even in numerous online stores. I listened live to "Concerto rotondo," a striking piece of which I found no trace in his discography.

For completeness and at your kind request, here is the program for the evening:
The program was as follows:
Giovanni Battista degli Antoni: Ricercata VII
Marin Marais: La Folia
Jimy Hendrix: Purple Haze ....this was on the edge of emotional tolerance
Chick Corea: Children song n^ 4
Giovanni Sollima: Concerto rotondo......this was the opening piece that immediately captivated me
Hell 1 ..... this is stunning, of deep and poignant sweetness, necessary after so much ardor
Terra Danza
Terra aria
Natural songbook
I don’t know the encore
the concert was titled: Jeu de massacre

Thank you, just a small detail: this review is prior to Sollima's ehheh.
I’m joking, huh!

Thank you for your vote Rebeide, I recommend not laughing too much because you might dislocate your jaws. Maybe a smile would have sufficed; after all, the meaning of the sentence was clear. Okay, next time I will be more careful so as not to stir too much hilarity. :-)

Here I am again, I am Teresa, the author of the pseudo-review on Giovanni Sollima. Alright, I am quite inexperienced since it’s the first time I’m writing in this place. I expressed myself poorly, but it’s clear that my invitation not to miss the concert referred to the upcoming, similar concerts of this charming and delightful musician. Moreover, my comment was written in the wake of the very vivid emotions that his music and his way of interpreting it stirred within me. I thought that would be enough! Next time I will try to "spell it out" better. Thank you for your attention anyway, and remember the thing that ultimately matters most: don’t miss, if you have the chance, the next concert of Giovanni Sollima!
