U2 The Joshua Tree
Voto:
In its genre (I would say more "pop-rock" than rock) it is undoubtedly a masterpiece, and it is not the only one by U2. I also prefer other musical genres, but this shouldn't overly influence the judgment. The character of Bono Vox's pronounced tendency to get on people's nerves, if only because of his excessive presence, shouldn't weigh too heavily on the evaluation of U2's excellent music.
The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet
Voto:
That "classic" is nonetheless less absurd than it seems. An album that is already 38 years old, and moreover (in my opinion) is among the absolute best by the Rolling Stones, is probably beginning to become part of what will be the classical music of the coming decades. Word of a passionate fan of true classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc.)
B.B. King Kansas City 1972 - Live
Voto:
After reading this review, I understand a bit better your outburst about the fact that certain names (including mine) appear quite frequently in the list of staff-recommended reviews. In fact, I also think this one had all the qualities to end up in the list on the left. And it seems I’m not the only one who thinks so. The staff (whom I don’t know, I want to make that clear) is not infallible, and with the avalanche of stuff that comes in every day, I imagine they have a lot to work on, so it’s likely that sometimes they might get distracted. In any case, I wouldn’t give too much importance to this, just as I wouldn’t to the ratings in general. As we now know, it only takes one repressed idiot to give you a 1 to ruin an average. What can never be ruined are the sincere compliments to this review, to which I wholeheartedly agree. A 5 also goes to B.B. King (not to the specific album, which I don’t know).
Pooh Per Quelli Come Noi
Voto:
I became quite curious... Could it be that even the Pooh, like Renato Zero, have a distant respectable past? However, theirs must have lasted even less than that of the great storyteller of little mice... just the duration of this album, which by the way I've never seen circulating as a CD. An interesting proposal, anyway, and well done.
Paco de Lucía, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin Guitar Trio
Voto:
I also endorse Jim Morrison, and consequently Wanderer, but with less enthusiasm. For what votes are worth, "Friday Night..." deserves a notch higher.
Vasco Rossi Tracks

I would have concluded with a quote from the great Vujadin Boskov: "When a team wins, everything is fine; when it loses, everything goes wrong...". It really fit the occasion.
Roberto Vecchioni Il Re Non Si Diverte
Voto:
The problem with Vecchioni is his music: I could listen to him talk for hours, but I can't stand his songs for too long. Someone tells me that Guccini should have more or less the same effect, but for mysterious reasons, not only do I handle him much better, but after De André, he is my favorite author, and I also appreciate the music of his more recent work. With Vecchioni, however, I just can't manage it... Who knows? Not a bad review; an extra point for the honesty of citing the source.

I belong to the ideal generation, and in fact I remember them, but more as a sideshow phenomenon than as real musicians. I’d give them a generous 2, just because they remind me of the old days (but they would really deserve a 1). Not a bad review.
Miles Davis The Man with the Horn
Voto:
I approached Miles Davis through this album, which therefore, in addition to its objective value (already very high), holds significant emotional value for me as well. A fitting review, meaning excellent.
Peter Gabriel II
Voto:
In the distant September 2004, I reviewed it. I had been on debaser for a month and so my review is still a bit rough and naive, not to mention damned short by my standards. Also, I gave it an unjustifiable 4 which I would now like to change to a 5, but somehow I reviewed it...
