Ennio Morricone & Dulce Pontes Focus
Voto:
Spellbound by "Caminhos" and even more by "O primeiro canto," I continued to follow my passion for Dulce Pontes and also got this one. Beyond the harsh criticism from Punisher, who even wonders if he exaggerates (when doesn't he? It's his style, and it can be liked or not), there's a slight disappointment. I see Dulce Pontes a bit like a fish out of water regarding the repertoire to which she lends her voice, which, however, remains phenomenal. That feeling we find in her "Portuguese" albums is missing. A review that lives up to the expectations.
Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick

You’re right, DeBeer, but put yourself in the shoes of someone like Stipe, who mostly frequents excellent vintage rock: he recently arrived at Debaser and practically found everything sold out. Now there’s only open ground left in jazz, classical (and here I rub my hands together because the field is huge and untouched), and a bit in world music. What should a rock enthusiast who wants to experience the thrill of reviewing do? He has no choice: send duplicates, perhaps trying to say something new compared to the existing reviews.

I repeat: congratulations for the choices, more than for the reviews, which are not as bad as some say. Always disconi!

Unfortunately, Pentangle is one of the gaps I've long intended to fill, but I've never done it. I've heard them mentioned several times, always in enthusiastic terms, but I've never managed to get my hands on one of their records. Given the previous one, I'll try to follow your other tips as well.
Pat Metheny Bright Size Life

There's something a bit excessive, but in short, we got the gist.

I take advantage of Debaser's official metheniologist to say that this, along with "Still Life Talking," "Offramp," and "Rejoicing" (in addition to "Beyond the Missouri Skyes," to be shared with Charlie Haden), is part of my methenian Olympus. Is it a plausible Olympus, or is there something even better that I might not know about?

@Mariaelena: I believe this album is just right for you. From what I've gathered, your listening experience translates into total participation, which is guaranteed even for those who tend to be more detached and analytical by nature (like me, for example).

@Bisius: I haven't heard the latest Caetano Veloso. I hope to listen to it soon, because it's usually worth it.
