It feels a bit like homework for an album that remains a milestone.

One of the most influential bands in the history of Italian music. Sometimes, when I think of them, the word "genius" even seems inadequate to me.

Partially shareable is the downsizing of the cinematic Squallor, who cannot absolutely be compared to the Squallor musicians, true geniuses and authors of an impressive series of masterpieces.
John Milius Big Wednesday - Un Mercoledì da Leoni (1978)

Ah, I almost forgot: it seems obvious to me that Milius is probably the most underrated figure in the entire world of cinema.

masterpiece, there’s really little to add. just as a masterpiece is Conan the Barbarian, for completely different reasons. I wasn't convinced by the Rece, although I must acknowledge the author's profound knowledge of the film: I've always been more captivated by the generational aspect than the epic one, the true epos of Milius is in Conan: I believe that here the prevailing dimension is the nostalgic one for the lost time, for a golden age that will never return, in addition to all the trite and worn-out discussions about the loss of innocence of a generation. an essential film in chaos, beautiful and engaging like few others.

I had thought about continuing to write, but then I said to myself: why should I bother? If I keep going, I'm just wasting time. You're absolutely right, dear anonymous, not to mention a new human case of debase: mittttico, feel free to comment whenever you want, you great... mitttttico...

sorry, but really not the little professor... it's just that if someone writes about an album like that in four lines and throws out three bullshit statements, then they have to be ready to be criticized as well. If we want to play the game where everyone just shoots out nonsense, then let's go ahead... and one last thing: is it possible that there are so many people in here who take themselves so seriously? come on, can't we have a laugh? from certain comments, an unprecedented sadness emerges... damn, we're talking about rock 'n' roll and diamond dave... wow...

To say that this is a "simple and straightforward" record is a load of bull as big as a house: have you listened to the arrangements? That it’s a record that sounds simple and immediate is one thing (and it’s a tremendous merit), but that it actually is is another matter entirely. This album is pure rock & roll, diamond dave unleashed without brakes, showcasing all his strengths (and weaknesses) to the fullest: a true epitome of '80s rock, tight and played fierce. In short, it’s a freaking awesome record!
P.S.
Slip Of The Tongue is still a great album... and anyway, let’s not attribute excessive responsibility for the making of a record to a paid sex symbol (whether he’s a genius is another story)...

a review that's a bit too pretentious, but since you're a young lad, it can be forgiven. the album is a bomb and still stands out to this day.

You're right, in fact my statement is too blunt and doesn't reflect the truth; it could certainly have been phrased better!
