The New Story Untold Stories

You know that the drummer used to play in a death metal band from the same area and was a real metalhead? Anyway, he's crazy as hell, and when he picks up the sticks, he's a wizard... even if he's obviously limited in the new story.

Great review, perhaps a bit too simplistic.
An incredible album, truly... here Phil Anselmo manages to showcase his beautiful vocal tone at its best.
For me, he is and remains one of the best in heavy music of all time.

mh I see you didn't understand
it's not like he punched me in the stomach because if he had even tried I would have called my punk friends full of studs and beer and had him buried... the punch in the stomach was the response: "but we like it this way!"...

I can't wait to hear the album.

I was there too, but it didn't seem like much... I was pretty disappointed by the Children of Bodom, the sound was terrible, and especially that interruption (I remember an angry Alexi Laiho like a hyena). I promote the setlist which didn't just limit itself to the latest album... another unmet expectation was Lamb of God, who, to be honest, I don't really digest even on album, but still, their sound was a bit too muddy (you could hardly hear the great drummer Alder), but they redeemed themselves with the fantastic "Redneck"... for the rest, it was a letdown... the best without a doubt were In Flames, and then, of course, the legendary Slayer who absolutely crushed it (on stage there were two stacks of 4x12 Marshalls arranged in an upside-down cross... how tacky!) The review is well done even though the concert might have been a bit below the (gigantic) expectations.

WOW Finley, you know, being from the same city as these nice friends, during the celebrations after Italy-Germany this summer I happened to run into the guitarist named Ka (short for Kacazzo) and I asked him when these old nice friends would play something decent... the answer was a punch in the stomach! I thought Finley would soon turn to Scandinavian-style Death/Thrash... damn!!
Extrema Set the World on Fire
Voto:
The Extrema are doing a great job of staying active and always at the forefront of the Italian metal scene. In my opinion, this album is the best overall, along with the perhaps too Pantera-copy "positive pressure of...". Every now and then it retains traits from "better man than dead," and here and there it draws similarities to the first "tension at the seams." Nevertheless, it is definitely thrash metal with nu and hardcore elements at times. Make sure to catch them live; that's when they truly shine... by far the best Italian band in this context. It's worth noting that they don't have a very personal sound but rather rely a bit on what's popular, yet we are still talking about consistently more than acceptable work.
