The Beatles Rubber Soul
Voto:
Well, still with this story about the Beatles making little songs. Either someone has only heard what plays on 102.5 or has heard nothing at all. I understand that songs like "Love Me Do" can be defined as little songs, I also understand that "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" might not resonate with some, okay, fine, but if you hear it and call it a "little song," then we’re not speaking the same language. I’m not saying we have to define such works as masterpieces, for heaven's sake, but at least a bit of objectivity... let’s not say that the Beatles made little songs. But does anyone who says these things at least own this album (and the others after it), has listened to it, or do they only know "Michelle"? It’s wrong to judge the Beatles after only hearing misleading compilations like "One" or the same old stuff that’s circulating.

A very varied and exciting album, the praise is not exaggerated at all. I still enjoy listening to it today, among other things it's very immediate as well. In my opinion, Discosis is less varied and therefore less valuable (although it remains an excellent album), plus it lacks the girl who sings Drinkin in LA and Afrodiziak, who I think added a lot. The single alone is worth the 10 euros that the CD costs now (yes, it’s even discounted now), but you're taking home a whole little gem.

I completely agree with Vinsex ("of course, the inspiration has gone to waste" is a quote worth framing), the album isn't that bad, but just the Binaural, without needing to mention anything extraordinary, was much better. I would also give it a 3, but the -1 is a must after enduring the sight of the cover.
Talking Heads Remain in Light

It’s almost inconceivable how one can achieve such a level of complexity while maintaining such a high ease of listening. The Talking Heads are enjoyable from the very first listen, but the beauty lies in the fact that on the millionth listen we are still discovering something new, an extra chorus, a nuance we missed before. Great review for a magnificent CD. A must-buy without hesitation.
Talking Heads The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads

If you have ears and a brain (but maybe just ears will do), this CD will never leave your head. The two CDs are very different from each other (so I think it's hard not to enjoy AT LEAST one of them), but both are astonishing, immediate yet long-lasting at the same time. And to think that THIS version of The great curve wasn’t even in the original... listen to it and then we'll see if the praise is excessive. Excellent review, fundamental album, as benzo24 rightly says, highly recommended as an introduction to TH, who, by the way, demonstrate here that they are even better live than in the studio, further proof of the band's depth. This album is addictive.

I didn't want to vote 1, I wanted to abstain from voting because I haven't listened to the album yet, sorry for the mistake.

Beautiful cover, isn't it? Too bad that Sticky Fingers is from '71.
