The first 3 arcs are undeniably among the masterpieces of world comics, but starting from the fourth, the rapid and inexorable descent into crap begins. The last arc, in particular, is among the ugliest and most ridiculous things I've ever read.

    I read arc and can only think of workshop welders. That said, has it really dropped off that much, Sin City? As a young lad, I liked them so much that even now I was thinking of catching up on the sequels.

    Volumes 4 to 6 are readable but nothing more, while volume 7 is a complete disgrace to everything that the saga was: unnecessarily long, poorly drawn, and with a storyline that undermines everything that made the first Sin City a masterpiece. I still believe it's better to stop at the first three.
