But of these Nuggets, if I remember correctly, there are only three box sets, each with four CDs. I'm curious to see what you're buying :-)))

Ahaha but I get mixed up between Nuggets, Pebbles, and various sticks. I should have these three. Boxes?! I got CDs, I’m poor ahaha!

Happy birthday, Conte. I have the CD from a few years ago with volumes 1 and 2 together, and by pure chance, I found the two LPs years ago at a low price, obviously a reissue. As for the box set of 4 CDs, not even San Bitter would be able to find it, and the Nugget UK 4 CD box is the same or even worse. On vinyl then...

Ahah don’t worry, I’m not going to burn out and I’m not collecting things at 50; whatever I find, I take.

Summary: I have this, that before vol 1 (because this from the titles seems to be the two) and the "down Under Nuggets" Australian 65-67 garage. Then I have two Pebbles, vol 1 and vol 2 ultimate 66 garage Classic.

Years ago I had a crazy idea, to open a garage bar... just garage music... and I'm not even an expert in the genre... I get the bands mixed up... but, damn... a bar like that would be perfect...

There are still Nuggets II, 4 CDs on the garage scene outside the United States, and Children Of The Nuggets, another 4 CDs on the scene of the Eighties and Nineties.

Noble poet, it would have been a great bar. I know 4 names at most, but pure and raw rock 'n' roll makes me jump and feel good!

Dark, introspective album, populated by demons that took hold of the mind of poor Skip and never let go until his premature death. A journey into the fragile psyche of the Californian musician, a work of art that initially went unnoticed but has thankfully been reevaluated in recent years, as unfortunately happens all too often...

Alice In Chains: Dirt
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
In my opinion, the perfect album by the Seattle band, dark, determined, sick, and played as God intended. Great classics, from the opener "Them Bones" to the haunting "Down in a Hole," which brought me back to my 15 years after I listened to it carefully again these days. Staley's voice remains one of the best in rock...

Once I had dirt but musically it just didn't sit right with me... this is much better. I'm picking it up thanks to your definition, found it on ibs for 6.50 euros. Now I'm adding it to the current order! I need to get back into this scene, from Screaming Trees to Soundgarden. It wasn't just Nirvana, right?

Without a doubt, it's a fantastic album that I played endlessly back then. But when "Dog on Three Legs" came out, I had no doubts: for me, the AIC had released their definitive masterpiece. I still listen to that one today with unchanged emotion. This one, however, I can no longer listen to... it's too much a snapshot of a certain time, now long gone...

I quote Silas, for me the three-legged dog is their masterpiece, and I'm pleased to notice that at least on the deb we are not few in supporting it.

The three-legged dog gets boring after a while, and not a little. I completely agree with hellraiser: "Dirt" is the best album by the Seattle band. This and "Jar Of Flies" are my favorite records of theirs.

Without a doubt, but the dog hasn't aged an ounce. Oh, on 'Jar Of Flies' of course, nothing to say, it's just one of the most beautiful EPs I have at home...

Little to say, an "unstoppable giant" of live in 1971... Class, technique, blues/jazz/rock and Southern intertwining to create a unique sound. I have it in all possible versions, including the latest version in four LPs excellently restored...

Here, this is the classic example of "love at first listen." Inside, you'll find everything: acid guitars, improvisation, creativity, imagination, expressive freedom. I think that between this and the previous Phallus Dei, there's quite a nice battle...

The live performance from 1977 is immense. The skill of the musicians shines through in this "the best" live album, with tracks such as "Arbeit Macht Frei," "Cometa Rossa," "La Mela di Odessa"... splendid, too bad about the less than optimal recording.
  • Damn, "the not optimal": it sucks ass, it feels like it’s coming out of a TV next to a microwave running at 1200W. It’s not as terrible as the live in Turin (there you can hear people talking, and they still put it on sale) but still, it's stolen money.
After wrapping up the project with the Crazy World, the wild (but genius and visionary) Arthur Brown gives birth to Kingdom Come with this album from '71, a special and unique record, I believe, in terms of creativity and madness...
Atomic Rooster: Atomic Rooster

Debut album for the British band, year 1970. The band was founded the year before by two members of the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Vincent Crane on organ and keyboards and Carl Palmer, who at just twenty already demonstrates his great skills on the drums. With the arrival of Graham on bass and flute and John Du Cann on guitars, the group releases the album, a quality progressive hard rock that is very similar to Deep Purple Mark I. Notable tracks include the excellent "Winter" and "Before Tomorrow," composed by Crane and

It's normal to get confused about a band with continuous line-up changes. Cann will join after the album recordings, and for a brief period, the trio Crane/Cann/Palmer will perform live without recording anything. An authentic bass can only be heard on this album; later, Crane will replace it with the Hammond pedalboard. Tracks like Banstead and especially Winter are atypical in the repertoire, a sort of Proto-Prog still far from the Dark Sound of the next album, where Cann's hard riffs perfectly balance the usual organ background in a way that was innovative at the time. I also noticed some instrumental parts from the Crazy World album reappearing in this album, a sign that Brown was the showman and Crane the brain. It's a debut that I love very much, like the two subsequent ones, after all.

Yes, thank you, it's true that Du Cann joins after the album's release... anyway, great album, I only own this one and after years I've dusted it off, I'm looking for the next one for a while now, at the moment it's out of print...

After the excellent self-titled debut, the fantastic trio Crane-Hammond-Du Cann delivers a wonderful album, dark, shadowy, played beautifully. An excellent dark-prog-heavy record that made history.
