Wall Of Voodoo: Call Of The West
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
"Mexican Radio" the manifesto, "Factory" and the title track are the lyrical-artistic-visionary peaks. Saying it's a flagship of the IRS catalog is almost an insult; saying that (for me and perhaps not just me) it stands in the Top Ten of the decade is legitimate; saying it's a Masterpiece is the sacred truth.
White Noise: An Electric Storm
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Pioneering proto-electronic sounds produced by a "scientist" of vibrations (David Vorhaus) + two technicians from the BBC: various noises, breaths and sighs, orgasmic whimpers. The result (the "storm") is shocking to say the least, for 1969.
Wigwam: Fairyport
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Finnish from 1971, brilliant performers of a prog halfway between symphonic and Canterbury, with an emphasis on piano and organ reminiscent of Procol Harum. Demanding listening.

I will find them, never heard of them. I love the prog from the musical "provinces." They always have something special...
Witchcraft: Witchcraft
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
In fact, this album wasn't entirely Sabbath-like - because while some tracks definitely remind you of them... others don't at all, and they sound much more like UFO, Wishbone Ash, even Bad Company, especially the guitar solos, and all the '70s English hard rock. Everything sounds like it did 40 years ago, but it sounds so good...
Woody Allen: To Rome With Love

Total flop. In the last 10 years, I haven't seen many films worse than this. Awful.

I just downloaded it. Damn, we’re off to a good start. And deep down I already know it’s going to suck, huh. After seeing the last Magic in the Moonlight two weeks ago, all I do is watch his films to remind myself how good he was. But every now and then, to wake myself from the dream, I also watch the announced crap that I’ve missed. Although, to be honest, I didn’t mind Midnight in Paris too much (except for the ending, which was wrapped up almost worse than the aforementioned mitm).

Midnight In Paris was better, this is just a dull and lame piece of crap that doesn't even make you laugh. Except maybe for the guy singing opera in the shower...

no but I don't intend to finish watching it, I'll pretend it doesn't exist. god, and to think that somewhere I read "yes but at least it has nice photography..." NICE PHOTOGRAPHY MY ASS. I haven't seen all of Allen's films, but 25-30, yes. this is the worst by a light-year, for me.

beautiful photograph - for Americans and for those who enjoy masturbating in front of this postcard Rome. Everything feels fake and forced here. From the "jokes"... to the photograph, indeed. The silver lining is that he will never be able to make a film worse than this, even if he wanted to.
