Dear Gene...perhaps. These are things that often happen when a band follows masterpieces with even more unattainable masterpieces. God save us, but I’m convinced that if the Huskers had broken up after the 'Metal Circus' EP...my love for them today would have remained pretty much unchanged. The trouble is that the history and evolution of Punk Rock, Independent Rock, and Alternative as a whole would have suffered greatly.
