With the help of some "enforcers," hired by Marley himself, he convinced the radio stations to play his songs.
Rustic
Funk, funk, funk... A great bassist...
Some musicians who played on this album: Phil Manzanera, Phil Collins, Andy MacKay, Robert Wyatt. Heh heh, all mediocre people...

AND HOW did they play, then, shall we talk about it? Manzanera in this album is divine.
  • genevincent

DIVINE is the right adjective... oh yes...
Brian Eno: My Life in the Bush of Ghosts

In all fairness, it should be "David Byrne & Brian Eno" or vice versa, but it’s under both their names. Anyway, it’s awesome.

Eh eh Buzzin' Fly I know it's not easy listening. I accept your opinion, no problem. But I stick to mine: great album!!

I don't like it either! I love Eno but this is really hard to listen to, it confuses me.

THE "NON MUSICIAN" HAS HIT THE MARK ONCE AGAIN.
  • fuggitivo
    6 nov 14
But here he wasn't yet a "non musician," huh?
  • rolando303
    6 nov 14
I prefer some of his other works. But anyway, that's not up for discussion.
  • genevincent
    6 nov 14
I read an interview where he himself defines as a "non-musician." If you tell me he wasn't one yet here, I trust you.
  • fuggitivo
    6 nov 14
Sure, I associate that definition with works like the first "Ambient."
  • hjhhjij
    6 nov 14
The "POP" quartet (I say pop to mean "what Eno does," which I wouldn't know how to define) by Eno is something extraordinary.

For me, a masterpiece. 5 stars is even too few. I recently discovered this one, when my love for albums like 'Here Come The Warm Jets', 'Taking Tiger Mountain', and 'Another Green World' had already become annual...
  • piendepei
    7 nov 14
the "non ascoltatore" (excuse the rough translation) when was it invented?
  • piendepei
    7 nov 14
Well, presumably, right after the non-musician, that bluntness of comment...
Brian Eno: Here Come the Warm Jets

Pleasant, carefree but not the best Bruce.

This album has been both his success and his downfall, despite having some excellent tracks. But it’s wrong to think of the boss with this record; before and after, he has done a lot and better.

Exactly... that's what I think too...

I've been listening to them since 1985; I was 7 years old and there was this blood-red vinyl from ttack punk. Anyway, can I say it? These definitions of yours are the only reason I'm still curious; they are truly interesting and you are Right. That's no small thing in this sad autumn of debasio.

From Bayou Country to Cosmo's Factory, it's all practically perfect; choosing one among these 4 albums is a matter of taste for me. Personally, I prefer Bayou Country and Willy and the Poor Boys, just to say.

Curtis was also a great person... He handled his on-stage incident very well and never complained; in fact, he used to say that he was very lucky in life. Hats off to him!! My nickname is for both of them, but especially for the legendary Ian.
    Best regards.
