Some time ago, I considered it one of the most overrated albums of the '90s. A nice little disc passed off as a masterpiece. I've changed my mind, and my player can attest to that!

I know that this album has divided opinions among the site's users. Personally, it's not a five-star rating, but a four is definitely warranted! Very nice!

the album I prefer after "Your Funeral.....My Trial".

I slightly prefer this to all the others. "Your Funeral.....My Trial," on the other hand, is probably the one I like the least from the '80s, excluding Kicking Against The Pricks. That said, it’s a "less" that’s very relative.

On Your Funeral there’s THE CARNY, which is truly Something of its own... and there’s Sad Waters, perhaps my absolute favorite CAVian ballad. For me as well, that’s what I would choose. But "From Her" is History (that is: Berlin in '84, a manifesto). Every note "played" (!) by Blixa here deserves to be recorded in the annals. And with "In The Ghetto" he began to express that obsession with Elvis which, with the DEAD FIRSTBORN (and "Tupelo"...) would find total release.

The album I prefer the most by the Bad Seeds, without a doubt. I'll tell you, up to Tender Prey, I consider all of them stunning. Unfortunately, after Nick, they started to lose a bit of steam for me... at least for my tastes.
