An amazing live show. I've never noticed such a marked difference between the first and second parts, and the performance was fantastic (awesome bass!). I’m placing it, without a doubt, in my personal top ten of the best live albums I’ve ever heard.

The Cars: Candy-O
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
I’m starting to get to know this group, and while I’m not exactly a fan of keyboards and the sound, I must admit that the tracks on this album have a nice punch.

There are certain things about Ric and Ben that I adore, and others I like less. My favorite would be between Panorama and Shake It Up (maybe the latter, which you might not like since you’re just starting out and it's quite more electronic than the earlier ones). I even played and sang the title track of this one back in high school, along with Just What I Needed by the first Cars. However, my favorite is Dangerous Type; I don’t know if you have the LP but I recommend it because the drum toms sound monstrous at high volume on vinyl.

Great album here in Italy that went almost unnoticed.
The Stooges: The Stooges
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Rotten to the core, I like it a lot.
The Waterboys: Fisherman's Blues
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
The peak of the Waterboys with an immensely captivating folk rock sound featuring ballads like "A bang on the ear" and the sublime melody of the title track with a remarkable drive. More upbeat tracks like "we will not be lovers" and "World party" alternated with sweet slow songs and instrumental pieces. It lacks for nothing... It just waits to enter your collection.

A great revival my dear; a record from 1988 where Mike Scott's band approaches masterpiece status with this engaging folk-rock hybrid. The title track is astonishingly beautiful.

So, cold, are you ready for the recently released sextuple CD box? The one with the original score of the work as conceived by Mike Scott and the recordings with significantly different mixes between Ireland and the USA? ;))) Just kidding, whoever has put it in their home (the deluxe edition had already come out in double CD) says they don't regret it at all...

To tell the truth, as much as it may surprise you, I actually got that box set after attending their concert in Bologna last year ;)

Great! Get the economy moving (and maybe a bit of Mike's pension too...);))) On another note, how is it? Is it worth the expense?

Beautiful, nothing to say. The peak of a great band, very original...
thin lizzy: bad reputation

Not their best, but only because theirs is a respectable discography. My favorites besides the title track "Opium Trial" and "Dancing in the Moonlight."

Certainly one of the most valid of the Irish band, although I prefer Black Rose.
