Patti Smith Group: Radio Ethiopia
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
I know that for most critics and others, the pinnacle of Patti Smith's career is considered to be Horses. However, I find Radio Ethiopia to be more focused and complete, a true delight from start to finish. I don't feel like giving it the highest score, but these stars, four, are full and definitely hefty. They fit snugly, quite uncomfortably, as if it were a Ryan Air seat for an adult of robust dimensions.

Just think, I love this record. This and "Horses" I adore. And then, Patti doesn't say anything to me anymore, "Easter" included...

Ah really? I didn't know that. I have always considered this his masterpiece. I prefer Easter to horses, go figure :)

;) I believe they feel tight... this is a 5 album for life, not only in this life but also in the next and the one after that. In fact, to be honest, I wouldn't even rate it a 5. I'll leave aside Easter and Wave, those are things you can judge with a number, but this and Horses have no value.

this, in my honest opinion, even more than "Horses." that’s the spark, this is the indelible fire stolen from the god of rock. One of the albums for life.

An excellent CD of varied and exhilarating alternative rock. Stunning cover, psychedelic booklet, and how can you give less than 5 after the opener?

I will take care of it soon, for now "Here Comes Your Man" is the only song I've listened to...

I even prefer it to Surfer Rosa.

Second album by the Pixies and second centerpiece; a discography that knows no pauses and no minor works. Fun, top-notch technique, marvelous songs. A virtually perfect...and unique band.
