      Well, this stuff is called "pop": it’s not a bad word, it’s not necessarily crap... in short, you can say it and, believe it or not, you can even listen to it :D The whole arrogant metalhead thing is a provocation, but it seems to me that your tastes all revolve around pretty much the same genres. Maybe it’s just my impression.

      Just half a listen is enough to crush any work by any of these musical figures. It's not that you need any special technical knowledge, especially since the technique is worth zero here. And no in-depth analysis is needed either. This is (sometimes) well-packaged garbage.

      I agree with elv. Anyway, if you really want to know, yes, I have listened to at least a couple of tracks from all of them, which as my friend elv rightly says, are more than enough. For some, I've even heard entire albums and I confirm, they suck.

      But I don't think a couple of songs are enough... I had dismissed Erica Mou and Lana Del Rey after listening to some tracks initially. And anyway, if this is trash for you, what is the stuff that plays on the radio? °-° I understand they're not exceptional artists, but in my opinion, they have something to say; maybe I'm just being foolish.

      Well, I repeat, I hardly understand anything about music, but some of their songs communicate so much to me. "Epica" by Erica Mou, "Ci Vediamo a Casa" by Dolcenera, "Lettera" by Simona Molinari, and so on... I don’t find them boring.

    I listened to one of those that I had never heard before... Something embarrassing, music as cliché as it gets, lyrics like an elementary school child's, fantastic packaging. Congratulations to the record label, a truly respectable marketing department!

      It's a shame that this video was shot by her before even having a record deal and that she achieved success through YouTube, which then allowed her to make the album. And personally, I don't find her predictable... she's very different from what you usually hear and has class. As for the lyrics, I agree they don't stand out, but they're not throwaway either.

      Sorry, I wrote something silly; I don’t know if it was actually the official video that was shot by her. Anyway, the gist is that the song became famous through YouTube, and her style was like this long before she entered the music industry.

      Well, if she did it on her own, compliments to her for how she sells the product, but if I’m presented with garbage in a gift package, I can appreciate the wrapping, but it still contains trash. You say you find her different; she knows what she usually feels out there, but if you pay attention, she’s the same as many songs by the other artists you’ve ranked... Anyway, just to avoid misunderstandings, if you like it, I won’t be the one to insist on changing your mind, but regarding the fact that it's predictable music, I’d say that’s a given!

    So, here's something to say: not all artists labeled as "crap" are actually that. Following the ranking order: Nathalie, like everyone else, can be liked or not, but keep in mind that before participating in X-Merdon, she was a singing teacher; L'Aura, before going downhill, made two good albums ("Demian" and "Okumuki"); Florence Welch is an excellent performer who also knows how to compose great pieces; Dolcenera has only done crap, but her latest album "Evoluzione della Specie" is quite sufficient; Simona Molinari is a good jazz musician; if we say that Regina Spektor and Emilie Autumn are crap artists, we must certainly clean our ears, perhaps by listening to "Soviet Kitsch" and "Begin to Hope" from the former and "Opheliac" from the latter; the same goes for Sara Bareilles and her "Little Voice," Gotye with "Making Mirrors," and Chiarastella with her "Pianeta Venere."

      Look, Fede, regarding the Spektor and the Autumn (which I haven’t listened to extensively or with much attention but have heard on YouTube), I can agree with you, but I find some of the others cloying, others contrived, and many simply banal. The underlying problem is that at the top it says "Best artist of the moment," and you also say that some are just adequate... The ranking is "according to Demian," and I respect his opinion and don't dispute it, but fortunately, these aren't the best artists of the moment; otherwise, I would only listen to music from 20 years ago...
