E il flauto prese vita. Dall'idea di Ian Anderson di far diventare il flauto traverso strumento principale di una formazione, nascono i Jethro Tull. Nel corso della storia hanno fatto di tutto. Inizio Jazz/Blues, apice Prog, prosieguo folk. Eccezionali.

Altro supergruppo eccezionale, bravura tecnica altissima, grande sound e grandi concept. Carriera simile a quella dei Genesis, con caduta pop finale, dovuta al troppo successo.

Virtuosismo su virtuosismo, hanno dato le basi della musica elettronica e sono tutt'ora considerati molto attuali.

    I like it, although the absence of Soft Machine stands out. Then a few irrelevant notes: I would have put Van Der Graaf at the very top (don’t mind me, they’re slightly my favorite band :). For the rest, I won't argue with the positions since the ranking is yours, but two things: 1) I believe the roots of electronic music should be sought elsewhere, definitely not in E,L&P :) 2) personally, I would have been much more "enthusiastic" in complimenting Gentle Giant, who for me are far superior to E,L&P and Yes. The term "genre apart" for Crimson is nice, even more than one, I’d say :) But aside from this sea of irrelevant nonsense, the ranking is nice, I liked it. Welcome to the Incorrigible Proggers (even if I haven’t felt like a progger for over a year now XD)

    Ah, besides Soft Machine, a couple of recommendations: Comus (I recommend these to anyone), Gong, and Hatfield and the North (still in the Canterbury area).

    Ahahah great! You have to see the ranking as the top 20 of those who have best reflected the term “prog.” My favorite band is Jethro Tull, but as you can see, they are in fourth place. If I had put them first, it would have turned into the top 20 of my favorite prog artists :) Anyway, thanks for the critiques and the appreciation!
