Great list! Lanegan is spectacular, and Mastodon and Black Angels are awesome too :)

The Black Angels are very good, whom I didn't know before; I listened to a few tracks from Death Song and I think I will definitely explore more. Lanegan is great, and the new one from At the Drive-In holds up well. Excellent list.

Thanks. If you like a certain psychedelia, the Black Angels are worth delving into. I can't get this last one out of the player. I love Lanegan regardless, although this last one has disappointed me a bit, huh.

For years, I haven't witnessed a year of such high caliber for all tastes. Lanegan is one of my favorite singers, even though to be honest, it’s been a while since he delivered an album up to his standards.

And the one from Electric Wizard is yet to come out. For my ears, it's a spectacular year, after years of being underwhelming.

Pure. I haven't listened to Death Song from your classic yet, and the Ufomammut band, known to me only by name, I've never listened to.

For Ufi, you need to be accustomed to somewhat extreme sounds, like if you enjoy Neurosis, you might also like these. Simplifying, similar sounds. The Black Angels' album is very focused, with psycho wave atmospheres.

It's coming out on the 17th. But I'm getting ahead on trust :-)

I was pleasantly surprised, and I assure you I wasn't expecting it, by the return of At the Drive-In...great album.

I didn't expect a reunion of much substance either. They delivered an excellent performance, it stands strong.

This ranking is wonderful. In the sense that it lets me know that a ton of albums have come out from people I really like and that I have guilty missed! Thank you!!

For once I am honorably useful to you. With all the times you've made me bend and/or discover things that are now essential for me. So proud :-)

Everyone's beautiful. I miss John Garcia and Brant Bjork.

This has been a great year for me. Even though there was little talk about the atdi, the reunion was absolutely justified. And a record that sands down the years.

Listened to less but growing listen after listen. A good year for me as well, with some important returns. Quicksand above all.
