Well, I would add Black Lips, Giuda, Sick Rose: 3 rock'n'roll bombs that you absolutely need to have. And then Gazebo Penguins. And Majakovich. Wilco, Bon Iver, and Megafaun (amazing album). Two Bit Dezperados, Intellectuals. And...

I haven't heard the new album by Sick Rose yet, but I'm adding Black Lips and also the Intellectuals; the album is really great, very post-punk/new wave even though I preferred them when they were more raw. I saw them live not long ago and they're always spectacular. I don't know Giuda or the other ones you mentioned, what can you tell me about them? But I'm waiting for two new LPs by Mark Sultan, which I believe will surely make it to the charts.

I agree, I also left the Lumerians, the Shapes Have Fangs you mentioned, and also the People's Temple because they are not present.

I don't know the Lumerians, but the People's Temple is good; I should listen to it again. I'm waiting for the arrival of Billy Childish's latest LP in a few days.
@ geb: Giuda is great, but the record I just got, "Racey roller," is from 2010.

Racey Roller seems to have been released in 2011; several year-end charts report it indeed (see Frazzi on Rumore). I haven't checked the CD I own, but I think there's a typo (it says 2010). I'm glad you like it. I'm listening to the new Mark Sultano, and it's a beautiful album; the Sultan never disappoints. Wilco, Bon Iver, and Megafaun lean more towards the "americana" genre, so folk rock, country, and blues... I don't know if you appreciate the genre, but I would recommend listening to Megafaun; they've made a spectacular album. Very good, returning to the lo-fi garage we are familiar with, the LP by Indian Wars on Bachelor. Recommended.

Well, my LP actually says 2010 on it and they date it 2010 too, but who cares, it’s a great record, that’s all that matters. I got it along with Dissuaders, spectacular, and Silver Cocks, which would have driven me crazy a few years ago. Now, it's good punk rock, but I've heard it before. I'm still waiting for the twin LP from Mark Sultan, Whenever I Want. I've listened to Megafaun, and they're good, but they didn't grab me much, while I'll be looking for the Indian wars. Meanwhile, it seems like the new Bassholes has vanished into thin air; I can't find it anywhere, even Hate has run out of it.

Ah, among the new releases, UV Race is great, as well as the latest from Wounded Lion and the EP by Cop Warmth, a kind of Guitar Wolf noise, all on In The Red, a guarantee.

I liked Megafaun too; I lost track of them after the first great album. For me, the Lumerians made the psychedelic album of the year, try downloading it, it's called Transmalinnia. Indian Wars are nice, but I think Megafaun are better, even though Indian Wars have a more western-roots vibe.

I don't know the Lumerians, but I'll look into it. I've also noted Wounded Lion and UV Race, of which I've heard a little but don't know very well. What do you think of the Night Beats album? I have the tape released by Burger; it's good garage psych in the vein of the Black Angels. Finally, has anyone of you listened to the Dead Skeletons? And finally, Gnagnera, are you from Rome?

I don't know night beats or Dead Skeletons, but I will look them up. UV Race is a great post-punk band, while Wounded Lion is more complex with garage, psychedelia, pop, post-punk, a lot of good stuff. I recommend the Italian band club 27, classic punk rock, a bit Clash, a bit Ramones, but played well (they have a track called Citizen of Latveria, dedicated to Dr. Doom!). To wrap up, I'm not from Milan, but given the closure of all the punk and garage record shops, only Pshyco remains, though their prices are pretty steep. I turn to various mail orders, and Hate has good prices and had the Bassholes in their catalog.
