Guccini, Gaber, Dalla, Battisti, Mina, Nada were already in a declining phase.

Gaber 80-82 is phenomenal. Guccini "83" and "Bovary" are extraordinary. Battisti could be higher up if he hadn't released that piece of crap "E già" and Dalla until '83 and the live "Dallamericaruso" keep him in a good position. When it comes to women, the interpretation factor plays a significant role as well.

battisti from '80 to '89 released 4 albums. only one is memorable (don giovanni). Guccini's production in the '80s should be compared with that of the '70s, and it's clear that he loses points in the '80s. the same goes for Gaber and Dalla. Nada releases three albums and none of them are memorable. Mina in the '80s is consecrated, how can I judge her?

Oh sure... Above Conte and De André. For me, it's fine where it is. A little above the middle. Already with "Cuore" it was on the decline, even if still adequate.

For example, Rossi (Vasco), Concato, Rettore, Nannini, Stadio, Baglioni, Pooh are, to be generous, absolutely dispensable to me.

In fact, @hjhhjij are ranked from 30 downwards. They are characters with very fluctuating phases, but they still left behind some important work during that period. As it's now well known, I love our local singer-songwriter music and I struggle to eliminate even the most negligible ones. There was a lot of crap during those years for sure, but I consider the quality of the albums mentioned in this ranking (from 3 to 5) to be medium-high. And there would still be something missing...
