Vasco, Povia, Pino Scotto, Baustelle, Fratello Metallo, Il Teatro Degli Orrori?

Well... To be "of all time," they are a few. But for me, the Faber up there, the Professor in the middle, and the divine Carmen a bit lower are enough.

  • @federicolaurent: the artists you mentioned may be good, but I don't like them that much, so it wouldn't have made sense to include them.
@dosankos: there are just a few because I only recently started getting into Italian music and these are my favorites. ;-)

Well, I’ll have to make up my mind to put together an Italian ranking for the '90s and 2000s as well. I always do it decade by decade.

  • @dosankos: then I will eagerly await your Italian ranking, I want to see which artists you will include.

Don't take it the wrong way, but the Subsonica will end up among the worst. I really can't make myself find them at least listenable. I have several doubts about Elisa, but she's not that bad. She has too many highs and lows. The Verdena, I think they live in the town next to mine, yet I've always considered them a bit...

@dosankos: well, it's a matter of taste! I don't mind Verdena and Subsonica, as for Elisa and L'Aura, just consider their early albums since both have gone commercial. They are still incredibly talented performers, mind you, but their musical quality has definitely declined. If you want to listen to L'Aura, here are some titles: "Una Favola", "Alice", "Demons in Your Dreams", "Degli Alberi", "Breathing", "Piove", "I Just Want To Grow Old", "Turn Around", "Hey Hey" and "Demian". Let me know what you think, okay?

If you don't know him, I recommend Vinicio Capossela; in my opinion, he deserves a place in a ranking of the best Italian artists. If you do know him but don't like him, no problem ;)
