Italian electronic-rock band from Turin (formed 1996), known for blending electronics, rock and dance and for high-energy live shows.

Frequently praised for live performances; collaborations noted in reviews include Daniele Silvestri ("Liberi tutti") and Morgan ("Discolabirinto"). Breakthrough single "Tutti i miei sbagli" received high-profile TV exposure (Sanremo) according to reviews.

DeBaser reviews praise Subsonica's early albums (especially Microchip Emozionale) and consistently highlight their live strength. Later records draw mixed reactions — some applaud experimentation, others note inconsistency. Across the board the band is credited for blending electronics, rock and dance with thoughtful lyrics.

I personally appreciate this band a lot, both for their albums full of melancholy, anger, disappointment, energy, and for their ability (I would say almost unique in Italy) to simultaneously entertain, dance, and jump, without neglecting the importance given to the lyrics as mirrors in which everyone can see their own emotions reflected.
