I understand that for those who listen to more extreme, evolved, modern metal genres, Saxon might seem a bit too vintage, ancestral. But if you love classic old school heavy metal, for me they remain the best. And Wheels of Steel is one of their most representative albums. more

King Crimson — USA | DeRank™: 6,69

The original 1975 album was already remarkable, with that gem of the Asbury Park improvisation. However, perhaps it was missing something to make it truly memorable. With the subsequent remasterings and the addition of heavyweight tracks like Starless and Fracture, that something is now no longer lacking. Perhaps their best live album is The Night Watch, or maybe the box set The Great Deciever, but I remain much more attached to this one. more
