Yes, he copied JJ Cale, he's not an exceptional composer, etc. etc... but saying that Eric Clapton is a "decent" guitarist is like saying that Michael Jordan is a mediocre basketball player.

Eric Clapton (born 30 March 1945) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, influential in blues and rock. He rose to prominence with the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos and has had a long solo career.
