A Rainbow In The Dark more
The album that marked the end of the band's most folk period. Sunny and rural atmosphere. Among the best moments, we find the saloon-inspired country-rock of "Acres Wild," the captivating unplugged track "One Brown Mouse," and especially the title track, a folk-prog piece (one of the band’s finest), which alternates gentle soundscapes with virtuosic, untainted dances. Best enjoyed with headphones, lying in the shade of an oak tree. more
You want to know what I do? NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!!! FUCK THE FLIGHT! more
The singer-songwriter of the America of the outcasts. more
The greatest epic work ever composed since 2000! A concept about a Viking raid, told in a proud, icy, exhausting, dramatic way. An heroic and tragic album, capable of delivering endless emotions. Lovers of doom and epic... BUY IT BLIND! ABSOLUTELY A MUST-HAVE ORIGINAL!!! more
The only true rocker in Italy!!!!!! more
The debut on the long distance by Negazione; not even thirty minutes where there's only a few seconds of breath at the start of the last track. Everything is aimed at causing pain in the listening experience, with that torn, shredded voice of Zazzo: a huge punch to the face of a violence seldom matched, not only in Italy. Hardcore to the nth degree; a band that for about a decade has carried on its fierce belief, without compromises...SHE NEEDS SOMEONE TO WATCH HER... more
We live in a shitty country, where everything amounts to shit!! Politics, corrupt football, cinema and music... it’s all disgusting!!! This man should have been filling stadiums for years now.... Do we realize what a shitty country we are??? I feel disgusted when the word "Rocker" is used for this guy!!! more
A band that should have and could have been luckier, instead disappeared after this one work from '70. "Black Sheep of the Family" remains their most famous track, later covered by Blackmore for his debut with Rainbow, but the compositional level remains very high in almost all the tracks... more
Great debut album for the Detroit band, 1970. Compact and energetic rock/rock blues, featuring one of the best versions of the traditional "House of the Rising Sun," instrumental and distorted, abrasive, and with a great impact... more
Last album with D.L. Roth before the temporary separation (which lasted quite a while)... The band’s sound lightens up a bit, giving birth to an album with "Hair" nuances. Included are famous tracks from the band like the stunning "Hot for Teacher," "Jump," "Panama"... more
for certain truly unreachable rhythmic cues, style and dynamics that are distinctly personal. more
The battery disabled person. Sounds just like anyone with a good sense of rhythm on their first day of class, except he’s been playing for 60 years. more
The best of the '90s as far as I'm concerned. more
The best drumming of all time. Hearing those sharp explosions punish my ears in "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is the definition of badass. more
Unease, poetry, and so much teenage anger, along with multiple references to the poetics of Cohen and Drake. Inspired and profound lyrics, enough to make Fabrizio De André fall in love. The battle with "Rimmel" for the absolute title of the Prince's artwork is tough. "Good," damn it. more
An engaging poster, where no piece is absolutely out of place. Musically, it’s his best ’70s work, no question about it. And Lucio Dalla was right to get emotional about "Santa Lucia." A masterpiece. more
Too bad for those despicable '80s. 'Young Turks' remains one of the most obscene things I've ever heard. The trouble is, I've never managed to say which one is worse, between 'Young Turks' and 'Baby Jane'. Anyway, two of the tracks I've hated the most in my life. Conversely, it would be a 5, for the merits we know well. more
So, just to complete the "magical" quartet of shit-shit-shit albums by Queen from the '80s ("The Game" is half crap but I'll still somewhat save it, more or less). But yeah, in the end, the Queen made "only" four truly terrible albums, but damn, how bad are they. This one is 100% plastic, gaudy, and only partially salvageable for various sentimental reasons. more
