M. Night Shyamalan
His films may not be perfect, but certainly, the technical style and passion are not lacking. more
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu
Underrated. "Amores Perros" remains my favorite of his films. more

Pier Paolo Pasolini -Accattone
Formidable debut work of one of the greatest minds of 20th-century Italy, a grandiose adaptation of the stories of the Roman underclass found in his books ("Una vita violenta" is a masterpiece in this regard). Poetry, textbook black-and-white shots, and a tremendous performance by Franco Citti complete the picture. 9. more
Dark Quarterer -War Tears
It partially tones down the epic approach that characterized the early works, although the title track, Lady Scolopendra, and Darkness seek a meeting point with the glorious material released with Fulberto Serena. For the rest, the heavy-prog atmosphere intensifies, outlining a series of impeccable and irresistible songs from an execution-composition standpoint. The hard'n'heavy of Out of Line is excellent, balancing between "Sabbath-Zeppelin" sounds. more

Radiohead -Pablo Honey
I underestimated it some time ago. What might seem like trivial, easily dismissible tracks are actually great songs for a solid debut album, played well with the right energy and duration. Creep aside, Anyone Can Play Guitar is stunning in its simplicity of lyrics. more

Piero Scaruffi
I'll give you two ooopptions:
1) Scaruffi:
A is a music critic who wants to encourage listening to complex music by belittling bands he actually likes...
B is a bit of a clueless critic... who doesn’t understand a damn thing about music and writes reviews after getting high, or rather after having a Pera Ubu.
C is a laughing fool.
If the truth were hidden in A, Scaruffi would be a fantastic revolutionary critic... 5 stars.
If it were in B, he would be a junkie, while Jim Morrison would make him look like a child...
If the real Scaruffi were concealed in C, even among fools he would remain misunderstood...
Doing the math 5 + 1 + (-1) = 5/15 3.5
Go listen to some Beatles, will you... more
The Beatles
but who cares, at first a carefree rock 'n' roll band, then from Rubber Soul onward, a masterpiece after another. The only flaw is Ringo Starr who looks out of place compared to other drummers, but those are details... more
King Crimson -In the Court of the Crimson King
Listened to it well recently. While it's not in my top 3 of progressive (Selling, Nursery, and Foxtrot, not in order ;)), it's an absolutely EPIC album; Robert Fripp has been a genius in his own way... more

Joe Jackson -Night & Day
Even though a couple of tracks don't quite hit the mark, it remains a crucial album in Jackson's career.

Jeff Buckley
In my opinion, it might be the most beautiful album of the nineties (as far as I know). Even superior to the star levels achieved by the father. 9/10 more
Tim Buckley
An underrated artist who has made very, very interesting records, rich in sound ideas and with his unmistakable voice of a navigator of the stars.
