Anyone who loves Kate Bush after listening to this live performance from 1979 will weep bitter tears over the absence of other live albums from the shy girl. Can you imagine a live show in 1986-87 featuring the repertoire of "Never For Ever," "The Dreaming," and "Hounds of Love"? Throwing in a "Don't Give Up" just to break the charts? What a pity. Because this live performance (and let's not even talk about the video version) is exceptional, featuring 2-3 bursts of energy that are quite significant, like the 9-minute long very "classic-rock-70's" section (strange for her, especially for the her that will come very soon) of "James and the Cold Gun" or the preview of "Violin" with the same crazy vocal virtuosity found in the subsequent studio version. more

Absolutely fantastic as Dalla's backing band on his "historic" albums and live ("Banana Republic" is a solid testament to that). Cool solo artists in the '80s, at least until Ricky Portera's departure; afterwards, there was an increasingly felt shift towards a more professional pop-rock sound, but still, we could use more of that in Italy today. Winning Sanremo, no matter how much credibility the Festival might have in 2016, is a seal on 30 years of honorable career. more
