What a drag with this punk, as if a word could change the quality. Anyway, the Butch Vig era is my favorite: 'alternative' formula with piano-soft piano, pounding drums, vocals that stand out, and many fewer chords per song. First, a lot of amorphous broth and then some nice garage attempts amidst way too much nostalgia for the past. more

They mix blues and folk with pure hard rock. They are truly great, and if I had to describe John Bonham, well, I would say he grabs you with his very first hit on the bass drum. Jimmy Page? Everything about him is better, from the low notes to the high notes of his formidable guitar. John Paul Jones? One of the many legends of the bass, I highly respect him. Robert Plant? A voice worthy of all the success they achieved. Even today, they remain a legend, nearly 40 years after Bonzo's death. more
