One of the directors who is currently doing good for cinema. Sometimes a bit too cloying ("The Master," "Inherent Vice"), other times he delves deep into the human soul, and masterpieces like "Magnolia" and especially "There Will Be Blood" are a clear example of this, beyond the exercise of style. more

An album that I've always liked quite a bit, although here the heights of the early '70s are as far away as the best things from the last 15 years. The standout track of this album for me is "Madness," by far the best of the bunch and one of his last great songs before the many, too many years of garbage, ominously foreshadowed by something as dreadful as "Part-Time Love." Sure, "Ego" would also be among the gems, unfortunately only released as a single and then relegated to the bonus tracks of the CD. I've always liked "It Ain't Gonna Be Easy," "Shooting Star," and the lullaby-like melody/epitaph of "Song for Guy." The others are all good/average songs, although none leave a particularly strong impression. A good album, but the cascade of crap was lurking just around the corner. more
He has written some of the most beautiful songs in the history of Italian music, and he certainly deserves respect. "La donna cannone," "Buffalo Bill," "Alice," "Generale," "Rimmel" are some of the precious gems to carry in a suitcase and keep in a corner of the heart. Thank you, Principe! more

Technically, aside from D'Orazio, very skilled and capable of creating a lot of catchiness. Parsifal is an example of this. Unfortunately, since 1981, there has been a considerable amount of unbearable rubbish that has also contributed to fostering deep hatred towards them. more
