Surely among the best bands, if not the best, from '92 to 2002. Absolute masterpieces of progressive like Images & Words, Awake, Falling into Infinity, and Scenes from a Memory. Of the highest caliber is Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Since then (2002) they have become nothing more than a sad commercial machine. They alchemically merge progressive with metal, creating a new genre: prog-metal (right in the midst of the grunge era). A perfect fusion of execution-compositional technique and feeling: brilliant.
