I belong -and not just because of my age- to that generation, but I have never found anything exhilarating in their music. Over the years, I have tried to reassess them, convinced that my ears were clouded by some inexplicable prejudice, but I have never succeeded. Steve Albini and Thurston Moore are very much alive and remain myths to me, while Kurt Cobain died at a very young age and I only consider him an icon. more

it sounds like shit (well, almost), but it conveys something that even some of the best artists don't manage to evoke, it plays 2 or 3 chords (okay, a bit more), like many others have done (Creedence???), his songs are simple, but simplicity is the key to being a great artist not only in music (no, come on... wait... no, come on, is that a joke?), would you prefer any Malmsteen song over, for example, the simplicity of "Immigrant Song" (just to mention a classic...)? more
