Hetzer, are you really coming here - on DeBaser, fortunately - to downsize Eco from the heights of your crazy and desperate readings of the high school history book? Are you for real? I would have censored you, I would. At best. more

Author of probably the best-selling yet least read book in Italy, he really messed up for me when, in a condemnation of bunga-bunga, he went on to compare it to Hitler, claiming that he too came to power thanks to popular vote; an assertion that is factually false since the Nazi Party never won elections and Hitler himself was appointed Chancellor by Hindenburg, not elected by the people. In the realm of prog metal, until 2002 they managed to make their mark, despite an imperfect debut and the slight misstep of Falling Into Infinity. From then on, it was virtuosities without head or tail, glued together with spit. If you're a fan of theirs, stop at I&W and Awake. more

No one has come as far as they have. And they still have at least 2 albums ahead of them. UNREPEATABLE. more
The first 3 albums were inspired and revolutionary, peaking with MOP. Afterwards, their creativity was distracted by success. Great albums as well are AJFA and Metallica, but from there on it was bad, bad, bad. Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets will always remain in the top 10/20 metal albums, despite everything. more
The prototype of the legendary band for extra-musical reasons. Very engaging live, great debut, but with UYI I & II they clearly proved to be a good band, but nothing more. Nonetheless, they remain useful as a transitional group, to reach smarter music. GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. more
