5 up to "Arctic Antarctic", 2 (sometimes also 1) for everything that comes after. Average 3.5 more
It reached absolute peaks in the second half of the '70s, albums like "Ipertensione," "Elisir," "Samarcanda," or "Calabuig" are true masterpieces. After "Il Grande Sogno" in 1984, it started to wobble a bit with some albums that were somewhat lackluster (and I don't give it 5 stars just for these), only to make a nearly complete comeback in the early '90s. more
I don't know... it must be my limit, but I've always found it unbearable, even in its best works like "Oltre" or "Io sono qui," which have been highly praised to me... anyway, 2 stars because there's worse out there, muuuch worse. more
Good album, but not among Ivan's best. However, it includes what is likely one of his top 5 pieces, namely the wonderful "Firenze (canzone triste)." Almost 4. more
Having recently listened to it again, I reevaluated it. I find it an excellent album, definitely his best since 2004. In terms of quality, we are more or less on the same level as "Dieci stratagemmi" and "L'imboscata", between 4 and 4.5. more
funny and carefree. more
Great up to "Ivan Graziani" from 1983. Subsequently expired, but still remains dignified. more
Artist? What artist? The Venditti of today compared to him is Mozart, and I’ve said it all. more
"Anima Latina" is worth five stars on its own. more
Another potentially brilliant artist who has sunk into absolute oblivion after 2/3 masterpiece albums. more
Transition disk. It’s the only one of his that doesn’t reach a pass, but it still stands out as better than a lot of crap that’s currently out there. Average 2.5 more
Good things until 2000, then total collapse. Nonetheless, it deserves a pass; "La Fabbrica Di Plastica" and "Campi Di Popcorn" are two nearly perfect works. more
If you're referring to the Radius group, since there's already a dedicated entry for the three tenorini, my vote is 4 stars for the experience they've had and for the intrinsic value of the members. Just 2 records, but what records! more
One of the icons of world rock. 4 stars definitely for commitment and longevity. more
On January 6, I had a marathon of 37 songs, just like the year I was born. 5 stars without a doubt; I didn't give them to Jannacci because, in my opinion, Conte is worth a bit more. La Fisarmonica di Stradella, Gli impermeabili, and even the latest stuff are truly excellent. more
But are we kidding? Is this really the same band that released albums like "Desaparecido," "17 re," or "Litfiba 3" in the eighties? One of the biggest travesties in the history of WORLD music; something that makes "Mondi sommersi" from two years before look like a masterpiece. Disgraceful! more
The worst Italian singer of all time (I don't even consider D'Alessio & co, obviously). more
Until "Musicante" in 1984, truly a giant. It's just a shame about what came after.. more
It’s hard to believe that the author of the wonderful "Canzone Per Seveso" is the same as the horrifying "Prendilo Tu Questo Frutto Amaro." His last decent album, for me, was "Cuore" from 1984. After that, a few scattered decent songs until the late '80s (3/4... nothing more) leading to the total disaster of the constant copy and paste of his own tracks. A progressive disaster that continues to this day. What a shame, in the '70s he was truly great; he could have been a leading songwriter in Italy and instead... more
