Genesis
If they had come out in the 80s, my rating would be a stretched 2, but since they produced immense masterpieces in the 70s, I can't give anything less than a 5. More than with the loss of Peter Gabriel, the real Genesis died with the departure of Steve Hackett. more
Pooh
Promising pop/rock band in the seventies, endless abyss from the mid-eighties to the 2000s, with the exception of Dove comincia il sole (where, among other things, there was no D'Orazio). Three stars only because of Battaglia and Canzian. more
Pink Floyd
Giving Pink Floyd less than a 5 and claiming to have an understanding of music is madness. (What world would it be without David Gilmour?) more
Zucchero
Not as terrible as I thought. Especially in the 80s, he did some really good things. Even though musically he has been irrelevant for about twenty years and he carries with him the reputation of having drawn a bit too much from others (to be kind). more
Pino Daniele
Great musician, great composer and performer. It's a shame that the last years of his career didn't match his level, but for Uncle Pino, I forgive everything. Thank you for everything! more
Antonello Venditti
It has undergone a terrifying decline, but some masterpieces it created, especially in the seventies, cannot be ignored. more
Francesco De Gregori
He has written so many masterpieces that he is forgiven for everything. Thank you, Prince! more
Afterhours -Hai paura del buio?
Purchased in a limited and numbered deluxe edition (2CD+4LP). A journey into the darkness of the soul. If you are afraid of the dark, the real one, do not listen to this album. more
Afterhours -Folfiri O Folfox
Purchased in a limited and numbered deluxe special edition (2CD+2LP). An album that sends shivers down your spine just for the depth of the themes addressed. The opening track "Grande" alone would justify the purchase of the album. more
Afterhours -Padania
Purchased in a limited edition, numbered special release. An album of the highest caliber with remarkable peaks of songwriting (Terra di Nessuno, Costruire per Distruggere, Padania, Nostro anche se ci fa Male, La Terra Promessa si Scioglie di Colpo). A chilling atmosphere permeates the air. more
Afterhours -I Milanesi Ammazzano Il Sabato
A minor episode from the band led by the great Manuel Agnelli. Nevertheless, the quality remains consistently high. more
Afterhours -Ballate Per Piccole Iene
An album that hurts. To be listened to over and over again as each of us, deep down, hides a little Hyena within. One track more beautiful than the other. I will only mention "Il Compleanno di Andrea" simply because I believe it is, firstly, hugely underrated and, secondly, of breathtaking beauty. more
AFTERHOURS -Quello che non c'è
"What Is Not There" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever listened to. The rest of the album is just as remarkable (perhaps only slightly less so). more
Afterhours -Non è per sempre
Let's make it forever. "Milano Circonvallazione Esterna" really gets me excited. more
Afterhours -Germi
Wonderful album that has infected me for quite a while. I hope to be contagious. more
AC/DC -Back In Black
Bought many years ago in a nice version, with lots of cute little objects. Badass-but-not-too-much album. The title track, however, is pretty awesome (not the balls). more
Ivan Graziani -La città che io vorrei
A splendid sketch of provincial life, blending fairy tale and poetry. more
Ivan Graziani
For an Abruzzese, Ivan Graziani will always represent one of the best singer-songwriters ever heard in Italy. For a non-Abruzzese, Ivan Graziani should always represent one of the best singer-songwriters ever heard in Italy. more
Bruce Springsteen -Born in the USA
perhaps commercial, but beautiful nonetheless. more
Antonello Venditti -L'orso bruno
underrated, for me a wonderful album. The title track, "il mare di jan", "l'ingresso della fabbrica" and "l'uomo di pane" stand out above all. It would be 5 stars, not completely full, but who cares. more
