One of the last hurrahs from Michele, one of his last albums to be truly worthwhile. I adored it years ago, but even now I can't help but find the atmospheres and sounds of the album fascinating and immersive. Campovecchio combines ancient-primordial suggestions with modern-electronic sonorities, all permeated by clean, crystalline melodies that, at its best moments, are truly stunning. After all these years, I still get emotional with tracks like "Magellan," "Lament for Atlantis," or "Crystal Clear." The sound is incredibly clean; guitar, synthesizers, piano—everything sounds like a glass of fresh water. This is an ultra-relaxing album, to be listened to while being gently rocked, without too much effort; the mood is truly soothing, even if within these deeply relaxing atmospheres, I’ve always sensed a vaguely unsettling something, who knows why, sometimes they induce anxiety. And, at times, there are moments in this Campovecchian "new age" that are rather boring, teetering on the edge of drowsiness, I have to admit. The album is beautiful, with some splendid moments and others less so; when listened to while lying down, comfortable, in a moment of relaxation, even the boring tracks take on a meaning, and the album works well as chamomile tea—it's not insignificant. Beautiful. more
Excellent Progressive trio for their technical foundation and creativity that, until "Brain Salad Surgery," produced music of excellent craftsmanship, at times even fabulous (the suite "Tarkus" is a magnificent example)! more

The debut album is quite good. The rest of the career is completely useless. A point less because the hardcore fans make them even more annoying. more
The last true Italian rock singer-songwriter. more
Still a bit immature, but all the elements are already there. Arrangements are less soft compared to Sfinge and Barbara, more angular and distinctive. Great tracks emerge like Vocazione, Fosse vero, L'anima pagliacciona, and Malamore, with ironic and spicy pieces like Ballatetta and La serietà, and out-of-this-world portraits like Il sud è un'infanzia sudata. I would say less like Sfinge and more like Barbara and others. more

Great album. The Tower of Babel is a masterpiece of immense irony and truth that shakes you to your core, Venderò is wonderful, an immense singer-songwriter at the peak of Bennato's creativity, Franz is my name almost dystopian listened to in 2020. And then other angry and excellent tracks like Viva la guerra and EEA. Too bad about that nonsense track Ma chi è, not because it’s an out-of-context piece that, for heaven’s sake, Edo has never failed to deliver, but it’s definitely “sloppy.” In conclusion, still a great album but doesn’t deserve top marks. more
"Have doubts" was still enough, but this is where the slaughter truly begins. Following this, there will be a handful of albums, each uglier than the last ("Sbandato" being the worst). Much better is the contemporary "È asciuto pazzo 'o padrone," released as Joe Sarnataro. I would give it 1.5... let’s say 2. more

La migliore band Metal emersa dall'Italia negli ultimi 20 anni. Punto. more
I discovered this band because some members of my band like them and suggest doing covers of their songs... I'm not really a fan of southern rock in general, but I wonder what the point is in listening to a copied version of that genre in 2020. Great musicians, but it's like listening to Greta Van Fleet—why listen to them when we have Led Zeppelin?! And why listen to Blackberry Smoke when there are a thousand bands that invented that sound?!... A comment driven by the frustration of having to play this stuff 😂😢 more
