R.E.M.
One of the bands that truly deserve the great success they have achieved. In their genre, they are giants. Many great ideas and very few missteps, and their decision to stop is worthy of immense respect. Michael Stipe remains one of the most charismatic frontmen of the past 30 years. more

lost for words... records like this shouldn't have even seen the light of day, not even under torture; especially when they print the name of Pino Daniele on it. a huge mess, the single with Jax is perhaps his absolute low point... but what the hell is cumbinat pinù!!? you deserve a kick in the ass! more
Gigi D'Alessio
Rumor has it that the singer-songwriter is trying to join Napoli Centrale. more
Giuni Russo
As Franco Battiato said: "she went up, high, to incredible places." more
Ivan Graziani -Ivangarage
Simply +. More sparse, more inspired, more played, more heterogeneous, more pissed off, more melancholic, more poetic. More than the self-titled of '83, more than Nove, more than Piknic, more than that beautiful little disc that is Malelingue. 9+ more

The "critics" pipparoli and conspiracy theorists have never forgiven the SUCCESS of one of the most important Italian bands (along with them, the best Italian guitarist, TECHNIQUE and taste). I won’t elaborate, I’ll just mention a list of albums: "Parsifal" (1973), "Un po' del nostro tempo migliore" (1975), "Poohlover" (1976), "Rotolando respirando" (1977), "Boomerang" (1978), "Viva" (1979), "Stop" (1980), "Buona fortuna" (1981), etc., many are continuously lauded for far less. more

Lucio Battisti decided to collaborate with Pasquale Panella, in part, thanks to him. To be rediscovered. more
Alessandra Amoroso
Worse than her are only the covers of her albums and those of Giuseppe Povia (Giuseppe Povia, known more simply as Povia, born in Milan on November 19, 1972, is an Italian singer-songwriter and blogger, winner of the Sanremo Festival 2006 with the song "Vorrei avere il becco"). more
Edoardo Bennato -Sono Solo Canzonette
Beautiful this one too, very light, as the title suggests, and incredibly fun to listen to, especially the two "canzonette" that open or close the album, irresistible. The Bennato I love the most, at his peak, in my opinion ends with "Burattino senza fili," but until 1983 nothing of his is wasted and this little disk is always a joy to relisten to. more

An excellent example for a melancholic analysis: while accepting the fact that behind all this there is a well-defined commercial (artistic??) operation, the reality that in Italy, his style/genre, call it what you will, is all the rage makes me realize that Italian music is truly FINISHED (and I'm not talking about roots, colors... In Blues We Trust for life). At least in terms of mainstream, we are at the end of the line. "I hope the era of the White Boar returns soon." more
Albano Carrisi
It doesn't matter what shit music he makes; for Vincenzo Mollica, every one of his records will be a "fresh, original, in great shape" work. more

Vasco Rossi -...Ma cosa vuoi che sia una canzone...
Great debut album, in my opinion, too often overlooked. It's in my collection in a super-deluxe box set dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the record. more
