Great director, as cinephiles and others say. At times I appreciate him, at times I hate him. I still rewatch "District 13," "Halloween," and "1997," but other things like "Christine" or "Big Trouble in Little China" I can't digest even after 30 years. Then there are many awful films without appeal, among which "Ghosts of Mars" holds a special place. more
